Act-Fancer:  Cybernetick Hyper Weapon is a 1989 arcade game made by Data East/Deco. And it is a really obscure one, that almost nobody played back then. I was "lucky" around 1994 and played it on the original cab.

It is not by any means a hidden gem or something, in fact is super short and super hard, and well, that was of course part of the appealing of arcade games. The concept is nice tho, you control a kind of cyborg creature that start as a little being, and when you destroy enemies these drops some kind of blue orbs. If you collect a certain amount of them, the creature "evolves" into something more powerful. There are 6 forms in total and you need to keep collecting those orbs because the creature "devolve" really fast and basically that means death on later stages.

I like that kind of biomechanical look in some games from the 80's and early 90's. That mix of flesh and metal is something I really dig, so that's the reason I drew this one. Most of the enemies and bosses from the game are really weird and grotesque, so that inspired me.

Hope you like it ;)
