Sorry for the lack of updates this past week. I've been juggling too many things. This piece wasn't on the list of things to do but sometimes I just need to be spontaneous and work on whatever strikes me and it's good to take a "break". You could consider this fan art for Jay Marvel. He's a younger artist and he's got talent and his style rocks. These characters are from a much older piece of his. Go check him out if you haven't already.

EDIT: It's been brought to my attention that this character was not actually designed my Jay-Marvel. The character was created by JPMorgan http://josephpmorganda.tumblr.com/


Sorry for the misunderstanding. It still stands that the artwork is based on Jay's rendition of the character as I'd only seen this character done by him at the time it was made. I will add a credit to the piece for JPMorgan as the character creator and a link.

I'm not sure... but to my knowledge, no other artist has done their take on Kevin's characters. That is intriguing.

Pit, you might want to check your Hentai Foundry page. Apparently these aren't actually Jay Marvel's characters but JosephPMorgan's. Jay was doing a commission for JPMorgan when he drew them.

It's not a donation in my case. I'm paying for a product that he has promised to deliver.

Same here, not a donation. PiT promised something multiple times and till this day almost never kept his word. I tried to be supportive, I'm still paying $5 per pledged post, but this isn't a way to treat his patrons. I don't mind slow pace, but the lack of communication and the sarcasm is really painful.

some new hot meal sketches would be nice. The last scene with Jenny's boobs popping out had me feeling some kind of way. I definitely find it to be a good filler during these slow times.

I don't want to "order him around," but I did want to support him so that he can create even more great work. I thought maybe the reason why there wasn't more output from The Pit as of late was because he couldn't support himself as just an artist. I now think differently. I think he'd produce more art if he did contract work and, thus, was held to a deadline, not able to receive a penny until he produced the work that was promised, and on time. It would be nice if an outpouring of support from random people on the internet — who could easily find his work for free — inspired an artist to produce even more content than they did previously. Sadly, this isn't the case here.

The wording in this vote seems very loaded... It's not about ordering the Pit around. It's about holding him to the promises he made... to be fair, the Pit was catching up quite a bit... But with the charged posts for July, he is still down to owing us: 2 Damballah Island Pics (one was from... eerh... June or May, I think), 1 Power Girl Page (4th and final) and 1 Power Puff Bimbo Pin-Up... that's 4 pieces of art due in 10 days if he wants to start fresh in August... and if previous output speed is any indication, making that goal seems unlikely... If some patrons want to treat this as a donation, then I suppose they are welcome to do so... however, I do not. I pledge upon the promise of delivery of charged work. The Pit is currently getting app. 2000 bucks per charged post and when he charges 2-3 posts a month, that's a pretty decent earning. I am not saying he isn't working for it, because I am sure he does. But the facts are that the patreon is woefully behind schedule and has been for many months now. So I can fully understand the people asking about the charged work he has promised us, but which hasn't been released yet.

I think part of this difference in expectations may come from the payment model. Maybe if the Pit switched to a set monthly fee instead of the charge-per-promised-work model there wouldn't be the same expectation of exact works produced.

Nemo87, that 4th Power Girl page was extra. He never charged us for it, so I'm not counting it against him. Same with that extra Monster Madness page. I think it's best to just forget about those. There was a colored Hot Meal page due this month though in addition to the other 3 pieces you named.
