So sorry this one's late guys! Had a lot of pre-YT work to do here at the house and this is a longer update anyway :D

Hope you like it though! :)

Looking forward to your Chronicles of Drunagor and Apocalypse reviews. Seriously considering going all in on that one. True solo dungeon crawlers are hard to find.

I love your statement on liking someone as a person despite disagreeing with what they believe. We need way more of that in this world.

Spend more time with that wife of yours. It will benefit both of you.

First time to hear the rant as a Patreon - very much enjoyed as I was assembling dwarves. After benefiting for so long from your work, it feels good to be part of your tangible support. After 37 years with my wife, I can heartily agree with Joanne’s advice :-)

I'm one of the 20% that doesn't overlap between you and BGCo. I've tried to like Alex, but his voice annoys the hell out of me. It just hits my ear and makes my brain hurt. Also his rambling and fast-talking isn't pleasing. I like your soothing tones. 😃

Very much WELCOME! Always great to hear from you :) My wife is my best friend and we spend on average 2-3 hours every night watching movies and painting miniatures :) I can only hope she honors me with that many years :D

Hah! I hate my voice :D But that's very much a real thing, there are people that I just simply don't like how they speak so totally get that haha :D Hopefully you can manage our chat then - it is really good!

Is this ladden with controversy and verbal disagreement?

Poor Alex, been stuck in a house with two amazing ladies, playing board games - damned be the covid! 😁

Thanks for the update- these are always cool to listen to! You’re right about how important it is to not only treat people you disagree with respectfully, but also to actually seek out friendship with such people. It’s by having friends with opposing views to our own that both parties will be able to grow into something better than we’d be able to alone. By surrounding ourselves only with others that think and look like us we become shallower versions of ourselves and more entrenched in an “us versus them” mindset. This is the problem people get in to when they isolate themselves or are wrapped up in social media echo chambers… But having friends in our life that hold various opinions helps to remind us that we are all just people and that there are legitimate ways to view the world differently without that person having less value. And I also appreciate you taking the time to record your conversation with Alex- I look forward to listening in!

That's VERY well put and totally agreed! When people *only* get around others that agree with them always then they can't handle when someone doesn't, and they fail to humanize them too. That's probably the worst part of it all. Do I disagree with lots of people? Heck yeah all the time. But (and I'm not perfect at this of course) that doesn't mean they aren't an actual person with feelings and quality all their own. And that, if nothing else, should earn them some decency from me.

…the dwarves are for an npc squad for a one-shot I’m writing for our D&D group (which is my wife and our daughter and her husband - he’s the one who got us into D&D a couple of years ago) - they are from the Oathmark Dwarf Infantry box. They’re very basic sculpts, but great for npc’s.

Good times with family 👍🏻❤️

I think how someone runs their business actually is a pretty good indicator of who they are as a person. And I think some board game channel practices should be pointed out.
