What's on the desk? #5 (Patreon)

Hey guys!

Alright let's get down to business. I've been SUPER BUSY with the channel lately, both with stuff you've seen and stuff you haven't but today I'm doing a tell-all.

As you know I've been on a roll with the channel content, steadily publishing 2 videos every single week (with 3 videos out last week). And these aren't small videos with little effort put into it either. In the last 5 days I published 1 hour and 10 minutes of miniature board game videos that I hope you all have enjoyed.

It's not just simple content either. I am continuing to not only try and produce more consistent videos, but improve the quality and branch out as well. That's why I took the extra time in my Batman: GCC review to actually film b-roll footage and example pictures. It's why I started trying to black line and push the contrast up on my miniatures. I've immensely enjoyed this personal growth and I hope you guys have enjoyed seeing the improvements!

In that same space of trying new things, I've actually started batch painting!

There are 8 videos worth of content here, most of which you will have early access too here on Patreon, like the Batman (Dark Knight Returns) video that you got a week early. Here I've already painted and highlighted all of the black, white and base coated the bases. I'm not sure how effective I'll be moving farther along at saving time and paint, but hopefully I can just knock a color out. That's the goal anyway, I'll give you guys an update on how this went in a future update, hopefully diving into some lessons learned.

There's also been a vote going on just for you guys to pick my first Limbo: Eternal War video. Currently Lilith is in the lead but Rodrigo could still pull ahead! In preparation, I've already cleaned up and built Lilith!

Now while that's HOURS of work already there's plenty more still! As always I continue to work with many in the industry to get more information, more coverage, and more perks for all of you. You might also recall something about...idk...GEN CON?

Well it's happening, I'll be going to Gen Con this year!

While it's a sure fire thing now, I'll need to try and recoup the huge cost of it all. See I've already been asked by several companies if I'd be attending because they want to help me give you guys some in depth looks at future games, prototypes, etc. We're talking Trudvang. We're talking Mythic Battles: Ragnarok. We're talking Dawn of Madness. We're talking many more! Interviews with heavyweights like CMON, Monolith, Mythic Games, Diemension Games and more. It's going to be a HUGE endeavor and I want to do it justice. That means I need a legit handheld mic for interviews. It means I need a new tripod that can actually extend. It means to book a hotel, and a flight, and pay for luggage containing camera equipment.

But it'll all be worth it. It's an opportunity for me to be able to give you guys more and that excites me. More than that, it's an opportunity to meet some of you! If you are going to Gen Con LET ME KNOW. I'd love to meet you!

Early next month I'll be formulating a more complete list of content I'll be producing while there and some opportunities to meet and interact with you guys (perhaps even a group dinner?) Let me know in the comments if you have any ideas of what I we could do!
