This was the first series that I saw, then Hill House then Midnight Mass. The flashback never made sense to me but this time I think I understand... In the boarding house it opens with a missing boy... did he break an arm and thus he didn't return? Next we see Miles jump from a tree to break his arm, he was not sent home though. Then we hear things such as animals are innocent(?) and even Jesus thought nothing of killing swine... and thus Miles takes this example to kill the bird. I didn't pay attention to the rest of it 😊 but I get that there are connections.
