Honestly, I don't know if Tusk and Hake's relationship can recover from this. There's no way Tusk is going to stay with the Family after the absolutely vile way she's been treated. Her only reason for joining initially was to save her kits, and not only were they not saved, but she was denied the basic dignity of grieving in private and on her own terms. Hake may have defended her from Gull, but he can't defend her from the fallout of this. And let's not forget that Hake fully believes in the Tide still. In his eyes, Tusk not only deceived him, but made it so that Ray won't have his fins. Tusk had no choice by this point, but will he see it that way? He's been worn thin by everything as well. I mentioned this on DA, but Hake is at the point where he can't keep saying how great the Tide and his religion are. He can't just say "Oh it was just Thresher who was bad" anymore because the evidence is right in front of him: The Tide and the Family have done nothing but harm to the woman he loves. He's gonna have to make a choice, and I feel like it'll have to be soon because Tusk has every right to walk away (if she's even allowed by that crazed cult) after all this, because love just isn't enough in this case. Respect and basic dignity are also required, and she will never have that with Hake as things currently stand.
