Journeyman director Ruggero Deodato got more praise in the one day after his death than in the previous 58 years of making exploitation films in multiple genres. If you loved him that much, people, you shoulda told him.

The fans always cared. Here, Joe Bob's reminding the critics, with their noses firmly pointed skyward, that they're usually wind bags and snobs. They make a big deal at someone passing, yet when they were most active those same critics couldn't be bothered. They write up these big obits to get eyes on their papers and products, but the real fans know they're totally full of it.

Imagine Gene Siskel writing a tribute to Chris Farley. He never liked him and walked out of Black Sheep. Then again, Siskel hated Aliens so what does he and Ebert (thumbs down to Die Hard) know? Also, Farley was kind to animals and humans.
