One of the strangest things people say is "Violence is un-American. That's not what America is about."

America was born in violence, fought an actual war between the states, has had so much trouble with murder and other violent crimes that we have more people in prison than any other country, leads the world in serial killers and mass shootings, had a 120-year period where lynching went unpunished, and has in its history about 200 minor insurrections like the Whiskey Rebellion and the Haymarket Riots and the Watts Riots.

Violence is sort of, uh, American.

Do you suppose that other countries say that? Do the French say "Violence eez not Franch"? And is there a Jeaux Rober over there saying, "What about zee Napoleonic Wars? Zee Revolution? Zee guilotine?"

Absolutely true ❤️ Americans kill each other in the streets every day. why does any country want to have a war with us? If we are willing to do such things to each other, what do they think will happen to them if we have to go to war 😆

John did that to Yoko and his first wife. You wonder why George is my favorite Beatle.
