Happy Splatterday Night, Patreon Pals!

Hope you’re having a great weekend so far, and that this lil blast from MV past helps make it even just a lil’ bit better! I ❤️❤️❤️ both these movies, and it’s Rusty’s first appearance after Reno quit to pursue her film career.

Enjoy, and definitely give both these amazing flicks a watch if you’ve never seen ‘em!

Love the Warlocks! Dead Zone is one I've somehow missed all these years. Think I'll get a copy just to watch with this! Thank you! 🥰❤

Was Reno ever in anything else?

TheLostDriveIn

She was in one action movie. If you want to search for the Mail Girl auditions post I mention the name of it in that. (can’t remember it offhand.)

Thank you, I will do that. I tried looking for info on Reno on IMDB but couldn't find anything; so, I figured it wasn't much after that.

I got curious & looked it up. The movie she left MV for was called Point Blank, which did come out. Not much after that, though.

Your recommendation on top of King and Cronenberg means I have zero doubt about that! 🥰 Can always count on you for a cool nudge of inspiration!

The Dead Zone one of my all time favs. Definitely underrated 4 sho. Christopher Walken’s best performance in my opinion

Peter Bernard

Yeah man when I was 17 I got to interview David Cronenberg and the late Debra Hill at the Pierre Hotel about this movie (Dead Zone). The waiter called Cronenberg away for a phone call at one point, and when he came back, he said that was Christopher Walken refusing to attend the press screening, saying he preferred to watch movies with "real people in the audience." They invited editors from all the college papers in NYC and I was the only guy who showed up so I got an hour alone with them. #HardToBelieve #Memories

Peter Bernard

Cronenberg told me his dream was to make a film of Naked Lunch, and Debra told me her dream project was to make a film of the board game CLUE. They later made both projects, too. If you interview Cronenberg, ask him about getting drunk with Oliver Reed during "The Brood!" LOL Good stories.

My favorite Walken performance. "THE ICE IS GONNA BREAK!"
