January2024 Patron Poll (Patreon)

It’s Monday guys and girls, sorry to say. But as I mentioned when I posted the Heroes of the High Seas chapter over on fanfic, I wanted to post the first of January 2024’s polls! This way I can get a jump on the patron story right away.

In other news, I will be ending the HP poll on the 22nd. I have finished the Ranma present for the month (yep, going for four fics this month, but they do have a leg up LOL) and have sent it off to Hiryo. I should be done the HP present by then, which will give me the rest of the month to work on the HP winner. Hiryo got Stallionback to me, and I have begun going through it. I will take today and tomorrow to do that and go through and make edits to the last DA chapter. Alex Crate has volunteered to step up and fill in for Tomon, so everyone give him a round of applause for that.

Now, with that update out of the way, here are the poll choices for the Patron Only poll for January.

Climbing together – Ranma/Street Fighter/King of Fighters crossover: With Terry and Andy gone, Ranma, Mai and Shampoo stay some time at the dojo for a bit, while Ranma starts to fully incorporate his rope dart into his style and Shampoo gets to know her spiritual side as Mai gets over her recent breakup. Meanwhile, Nodoka has a minor mental breakdown and Genma realizes that karma might be real. A trip to the beach helps Mai, followed by the trio leaving Japan behind, heading to Hong Kong. There, Ranma surprisingly makes a friend, Mai gains a admirer (not surprisingly), and Shampoo accidentally starts a fight. This leads to her becoming a actress, causing both jealousy and her being targeted by the local criminals. A few fights later and a introduction to her former opponent follows, while the trio accidentally get in the way of a sting operation, make a new acquaintance, and learn about the underground fight scene in Hong Kong. A plan is hatched, and the trio enter their first tournament together, while Mai faces a revelation.

Heroes of the High Seas – MHA/One Piece Crossover: Hearing of an island oppressed, the heroes in training (and their two supporters) cannot stop themselves from getting involved. After a bit of a debate and a decision to hide some of their skills (Cough, Momo’s abilities) Izuku makes a plan to use the cover of night to get past the giant artillery gun. But their new ‘friends’ prove somewhat untrustworthy, having their own plans going forward, which have more to do with theft than freeing people. The island is found, and the various traps overcome through the power of sound and ice prior to reaching the top of Clockwork Island, whose people are indeed oppressed by the Trump Pirates. This time the heroes have a harder time of it against a prepared enemy with a lot of noncombatants around, forcing Mei, Momo and Shoto onto the defensive as Bear King proves a threat almost on a All Might scale, with the outcome very much in doubt as their two toughest fighters are stymied, forcing Iida and the others step up.

Making Waves – Ranma/Fairy Tail Crossover: With a dragon to talk to rather than war with, Ranma and his companions settle down into Ven’anuel. Spreading out to finally get some real time away from one another while also debating their next moves leads to some fun times, some troubles, and Natsu running into the reason why some of the city still has power. Dealing with this problem in his typical fashion fails, but Natsu’s second skill of making friends with people he’s tried to punch works better to Gajeel’s chagrin. Kurnugi offers a deal, which is gleefully picked up, and after a few days of scouting and planning, leading to the knowledge that the dragonets from the north can indeed grow much bigger, and that their Queen is a bitch. A slow, probing war begins as the Dragon Slayers start to live up to their name and take the next stage in their training. But at the same time, Acnologia starts his own war against the Alvarez Empire…

King of Champions – HP/RWBY crossover: Harry and the others learn firsthand why they were catapulted into a forest for their initiation. After landing in Mountain Glenn, the group under Arturia spreads out, scouting then dispatching Grimm at need while everyone sees signs of the previous occupants. Once a basecamp is established more exploration occurs, with several revelations occurring one after another. The Grimm become aware of their presence, and a siege begins. This siege does not going according to the script, revealing the existence of an S-class Grimm. A hunt commences as the line is held, but only with difficulty. Eventually however the time has passed, and the Hunters retreat. Back in Vale, downtime is had of all sorts, but just as Blake comes through for Harry, an argument threatens to split RWBY apart, only for said argument to be stomped on in a somewhat hilarious manner before Harry is called in to speak with the Wonderful Wizard.

As a reminder for my new patrons once a fic wins the poll, it is removed the next month. The fic that has not been updated in the longest time (in this case, King of Champions, gets the carry over effect, which is half their votes from the month before carried over to help them win.

The way these polls work is for every dollar you donate, you get 4 votes in each poll. Not in total, but in EACH poll unless the poll is a Numbers Only poll. Unless specified like that, all polls are weighted.

I also give myself 400 votes. Normally I only use them once per month, but occasionally I will do more. I will state here that if Heroes or Making Waves has a chance of winning, I will vote here for one of them. If not, I will probably retain my votes to be used in the HP poll.
