September 2022 Patron Only Poll (Patreon)

Okay, folks a day late but here is the patron only poll. I had to weigh out my options here. Did I want to push Horse forward along with ATP this month, and if so ,how much time would that take for the winner of the small story poll. Then how much time would be left over after that? So I have removed Death’s Avenger once more. Again guys, it is WORLD BUILDING (imagine this in 48 size font, please) to say nothing of the fact that I like to get my beta reader’s opinion on things in that fic.  Giving my beta-readers time is also why Making Waves will not join the rotation this time around. Sorry, Justlovereadin’, but I will make up for this next month by putting my patron only fic as the first priority.

Climbing Together – Ranma/Street Fighter/King of Fighters crossover: Ranma leads shampoo, Mai and the girls out into the wilds, where once again, Ranma and shampoo set up the toughness training, determined to get it right this time. As they do so, Mai and Ranma take the time to learn more about the various tournaments going around or being planned in the near future, and Ranma and Shampoo have a date that doesn’t end in disaster. Disaster does occasionally occur with Kurumi and Natsumi both not used to being around a man for any set length of time a but life continues until Genma and Soun are spotted once more. A trap is laid, and goes somewhat well, until as a family reunion occurs, Genma opens his fat mouth much to his son’s dismay. With the toughness training having worked very well, and now with their two prisoners, Mai takes charge of the group, and they quickly make their way to her family’s dojo, to ask for advice about what to do with the new problems that Genma’s mouth has caused. There, Ranma meets Terry only for both of them to find one another somewhat lacking in the rival department. Mai begins to plan, the sisters argue, and shampoo and Ranma both face somewhat startling revelations about themselves while Soun makes a fateful decision, one that leaves Genma up the proverbial creek without a paddle.

Bhaalson Remodel – HP/Gamer/Baldur’s Gate Crossover: Rest, recovery, and discussion prove somewhat acrimonious as the reunited group discusses what they have all been up to since their enforced parting. While Imoen, Edwin and Branwen have no issue with Viconia, Jaheira still has reservations, Khalid has distinct issues, Dynaheir has opinions, and Minsc is somewhat confused. With the help of Boo, however, and the fact that Jaheira owes her life and Harry’s to Viconia, peace is kept as Harry urges people to look past Viconia’s race - and admitted worship of Shar and general snark - to the aid that she could be the party, and vice versa. The night is interrupted by a ghoulish visitation aspect on earth, Hermione and her sidekick take a step forward on her plan to find Harry, running into issues both bureaucratic and violent. Doing the adventuring thing takes a few days, after which they turned their feet to Beregost, with Viconia now a member of the party, although there are still issues underneath the surface. In Beregost they are greeted with some well-wishes and deals but alas Harry and company have not been the only people on the move, and a confrontation comes quickly for them to be prepared. While recovering rumors spark quests and welcome knowledge arrives from the south, causing Harry to reconsider his plans going forward.

Journey Gone Astray – Ranma/DC crossover: Kara learns that while Ranma might be human (something she thinks is quite debatable) he is anything but normal. He does however have a vast set of skills, which first Kara and then John Kent make good use of. In return, Martha discovers a stomach even she can’t make enough food to fill. Ranma gets made fun of for various reasons, returns the favor, and Martha and Nodoka bond. Meanwhile, news of Joker’s accidental demise continues to spread, bringing various reactions both from criminals and heroes alike. A certain immortal in particular learns of it and becomes intensely interested in the martial artist who might have caused it, and if, perhaps, he is not a lost cause. Ranma shares his philosophy on life during a fashion show which gives Kara a lot of food for thought, while elsewhere, Cassie makes the acquaintance of a group of people that Ranma would recognize regardless of where they were: would-be playboys. With predictable results. Diana helps Cassie through a few culture shock moments, Kara has a few culture shock moments while Ranma laughs from the sidelines until called out on it. Clark and Diana leave, with Diana giving some stern injunctions to her young charge. After a few days of helping around the farm, Ranma makes to leave until Martha matchmakes. A lot of food, well wishes and Kara join Ranma on his journey heading for Star City.

{This is here again because I feel like if it does win, I will be able to bump off the last of the setup chapters. So when it comes back, we will be getting right into the main story as I introduce Starfire and go write into the the first big battle/combat.  Making Waves will replace this next month and from there remain part of the rotation until it is finished.}

Hmmm… I think all things considered I will vote in this poll this month, rather than the small story poll. My disdain for and disappointment in the Rings of Power is not more important than hopefully giving both my HP and Ranma fans equal time this month.
