August Surprise HP Only Poll (Patreon)

Okay guys, so this is the promised HP only poll:

Which would you like to see this month, a Chapter of Fate Touched, or a chapter of Death’s Avenger? Both will be around the same size, but one will be focused on combat and battle, while the other will be world-building, comedy and combat in equal measure.

A Fate Touched in Middle Earth – HP/Tolkien crossover: Azog launches his attack at the mountain, unconcerned by the might of the combined forces of dwarves, elves and men. Archers duel as Harry unveils his defensive schemes and he and Gandalf show off a bit. The front buckles, but according to plan rather than enemy action, pulling back, but Azog proves craftier than any orc before, pushing an attack from an unlooked for direction. Harry uses a new type of magical attack to… enlightening results. The battle line breaks under pressure, but Thorin and his forces plug the hole, saving many dwarves, elves and humans alike. Crows prove annoying, and the elves start to take losses, forcing Thranduil to make a choice. The battle turns this way and that until aid looked-for only by one old man arrives from the air and from the forest. The battle is still in doubt, however when Thorin finds himself face to face with his old nightmare…

Death’s Avenger – HP/WoW crossover: Tyrande and Harry head out into the ancient forest away from the tiny port, running into trouble from a new, semi-intelligent, semi-bestial foe. This foe turns out to be but the tip of the iceberg, as Harry meets more Tauren, including the first females of the breed.  {Harry: good grief, I didn’t know women came in that size!}. A mission of diplomacy and welcome a request for help turn into something far more complicated, as Tyrande, on the urgings of her god, Elune, decides to stick her nose in. Unwilling to let someone he has come to call a friend go into danger, Harry also gets involved.  The two of them face a threat found in the heart of the mountain, before they discover a secret that will rock Tyrande’s world view, yet also bring hope, if in a very odd manner.

This poll will end when I have finished work on Horse for the Force and sent it off to it’s editor.  And as you might have guessed folks, I have taken a hard look at the time I will have going forward after this month, and decided there's no way I'll be able to get Horse and a Large Story finished.
