November2020 Large Story Poll (Patreon)

Hello all, it is time to post the three November polls. But first, I feel I need to apologize. Due to my back issues, I just was unable to finish the Patron Only story chapter by the end of the month. It isn’t so much that I didn’t have time, but my ‘time on task’ as it were, sucks horribly. Having to type while on your side is just not fun, and I seemingly couldn’t concentrate hard enough to use my Dragon Naturally Speaking. Normally, I do about 7-9000 words a day. With my back, I was lucky to do 3-4000  most days since the 22nd. It sucks, but I will keep working on Making Waves for a few days since I am not happy with the Zeref/Ranma confrontation. Everything else is good but that scene, yet without it, the chapter feels unfinished, and I will not share it until I am happy with the entirety. It will not count towards the stories for this month!!!

And before those of you wondering ask, no, the Anime Homage Episodes did not really slow me down on their own. Even the last one barely took me half a day, and it was almost ridiculously easy to work on in comparison to MW. What they did was remove some of the leeway in my timeframe for the month so I could absorb anything RL related. That is sad, but it was my back that was the problem, not the episodes that really bogged Making Waves and FILFy both down. Without that injury, I would have been able to get out the Making Waves chapter at least. Still, in the future, I will postpone the homage episodes if it looks like I am going to run out of time on one of my own fics.

Now, with the sad stuff out of the way, let us move on to the first of the three polls, the large story poll.

The choices are:

Magic of the Force - HP/SW crossover:  On Coruscant Sidious is faced with a true danger to the Great Plan as he learns that the younglings are gone. Desperate for information, he sets a further plan in motion there. At the same time, with a true victory under their name, Harry and Aayla deal with the local aftermath while Harry creates a teaching moment out of a bit of teenage angst. Yoda prevaricates on multiple levels to hide the reality, succeeding tremendously in such a manner that the Confederacy war machine stumbles into disarray, while the Tyrant’s Bane leads its prizes off. Meanwhile, Dominus’s new wartime footing takes effect as the GDL come under greater attack than ever before. However, the GDL proves the efficacy of space-based guerilla warfare, while elsewhere, the Confederacy is faced with issues from Yoda’s lies, and the Jedi elsewhere pushing on various fronts, the efficacy of their larger 5-10 Jedi teams starting to tell. The first land battle occurs on a planet all too-familiar with such. Dominus’ new hatchet man starts his own campaign, as Harry and Aayla arrive at their destination, dropping off their prizes and getting in touch with everyone before heading on to Ruusan. A quick stop there, and they are back out and taking part in the war once more as Sidious finally learns that the Jedi have absconded from the Agri-worlds. Angered beyond belief, he contacts Dominus, and together they decide on an appropriate response, forcing Harry and Aayla to make a bitter choice.

Horse for the Force- SW/Ranma crossover: Arguments abound as Ranma and Shaak have to play peacemakers when a secret comes out concerning the clone troopers. Bo Katan is incredulous and angry, Ranma dismissive, and the clones tossed about for a time, but eventually an agreement is reached, and the Wild Blade leaves for Wayland. Elsewhere, a Blue-skinned Jedi meets a blue-skinned warlord in exile as Fay finds who the Force has warned her to find. Discussions occur, with VERY different worldviews are discussed. The Wild Blade Reaches it’s destination, finding a battle already going on as the Nova Guard prove to everyone in the galaxy that the Mandos do not have a monopoly on being annoyingly competent when it comes to war. Shaak and Ranma perform a move only Ranma could think up, turning the battle against the attackers. The war continues to escalate elsewhere as a warlord makes a decision. Hackers arrive, aiding the defenders of Wayland in their strategic task, while Sidious is faced with the knowledge that Anakin is well out of his reach, and that his position as Chancellor is becoming more dangerous. Tyranus (Bulq) deals with a bit of ambition, while a key bit of information is discovered, which Shaak and Ranma act upon at once.

This poll will last until the 8th. (ATP will return in one of the two small story polls in December). And since it’s been so long since it was updated, my votes will go to Horse of the Force.
