Which HP Idea Will Reign Supreme!!! (Patreon)

It has bothered me for a while that I have created not one, but three initially patron exclusive works, but have only created a handful of omake for Magic of the Force. I have tried to change this in the past by offering up Harry Sawyer as a patron only fic, but it did miserably in the polls. So I thought about it, and decided to see which HP/HP crossover concept would gain the most votes in a HP concept only poll. What will happen here is the winner of this poll will be added into a patron only poll for three months, during which I will multiply it’s votes by 1.5 to help it along. The patron only poll will then be added into the small story poll, and the top two choices will be updated that month, as is usual. 

For your ease of access I have brought together all of my HP and crossover concepts, bar the HP/Sailor Moon one. Not at all interested in Sailor Moon at this point, sorry. 

The stories are:

Harry Sawyer

Harry's reading level was well above the norm even as a nine year old, so a teacher decided to let him into the school library without supervising what books he got. Entranced by the cover of two boys on a raft, he read the adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn to him, and decided to run away from home to the sea. Getting there was tough, but once there, Harry was able to head out to sea eventually. After being on his own and having a number of adventures, how will Harry, who has discovered his magic already and begun to manipulate the very elements, react to Hogwarts, Dumbledore, and the Magical world?

Things this fic will contain:

1. World Traveler: Harry will have moved around the world, using his magic in odd and unusual ways in order to survive. He will be a near-expert on living off the land, sailing, fishing, and hiding from everyone. He will have had numerous adventures before coming into contact with the Wizarding World in a very unusual way.

2. Ministry of Magic bashing: I tend to try not to unilaterally bash people or organizations unless they really deserve it, but can anyone argue the Ministry doesn’t? 

3. Real teachers: one of my main problems with HP canon is how the teachers act. Harry will either force them to change their acts, or will call them on their bullshit until they leave him the hell alone. This includes Dumbledore.

4. Real parents: The Grangers primarily are part of this, since I do not believe any parent worth the name would be content with being nonentities in their teenage daughter’s life. They will be involved, they will be interested in how things are run in the Wizarding World, and they will be bloody furious at the powers that be when their daughter is in danger.

5. Secret Mentor: This Harry will NOT be introduced to the magical world by a stupid letter through the chimney or an owl delivering the same. Instead he will have met someone who can introduce him to wizarding society before he goes to Hogwarts. But will (s)he be doing this out of the goodness of his/her heart, or not? And if so, what kind of price will (s)he demand? And who is really going to be changing who here?

6. Wandless Harry: As part of his conscious use of magic Harry will have developed his magic so that he doesn’t really need a wand anymore, and will in fact have issues with using one at all. Think actually fighting him and causing a lot of trouble for him every time he tries to use it.

7. Element master Harry: Harry will have mastered the ability to control wind, water and wood to a degree that he won’t need to use anything but gestures for the biggest uses. His ability to mold wood and manipulate it living or dead in particular will be something no other wizard has been able to do for eons. 

8. Ravenclaw Harry: Harry, and others, will be sorted into different houses. This Harry is brave, but also highly intelligent.

9. Maaaggiiiic: greatly expanded, added to and enlarged magical world and magical system. 

10. Multi relationship: There will be dating before settling down, and when it happens Harry will settle down with more than one bird. 

11. Best friend Hermione: after a bit of mental world rearranging (No Hermione, authority figures must earn respect instead of simply being given it) Harry and Hermione will become the Common Sense Warriors, pointing out and championing common sense to the wizarding world. This will be where a lot of the comedy comes in.

12. Enlarged cast: when it comes to the girls and boys Harry will be friends with or paired with Harry I intend to greatly expand upon what is there in canon. The list of characters that will be given this treatment include but are not limited to Susan Bones, Lavender Brown, Seamus Finnegan, Penelope Clearwater, Daphne Greengrass, Blaize Zabini, and more.

A Name to Conjure With

The Potters were an older line than most in England realized, or wanted to admit in their adulation for Merlin. A Lot older, tracing their line back to Alexandria and a certain female librarian and her lover, a captain in the Roman army, whose descendants came to Britain as part of the roman conquerors, then stayed after, having married into a noble line. Now, such an old family would never put their eggs in one basket, nor would it be likely to yield to exterior pressure. When Charlus Potter realizes his son has firmly fallen under the sway of Dumbledore, a man whose credentials Charlus has doubts about, the old man takes steps to insure his line would continue. This included leaving the family grimoire with Gringotts bank, to be handed to Harry Potter on his tenth birthday on pain of losing all Potter business to their rivals, the pixies of Ireland. When the goblins cannot send it to him, they panic, abduct the Potter heir from durance vile, and introduce him to the world of magic a year early. Armed with the grimoire of his family, the reluctant aid of the goblins, and a year on his own, what will this Harry make of himself, and how will the wizarding world and Dumbledore's carefully laid plans react to him?

Things this fic will contain:

1. Lordships: Harry will be Lord of his house simply because he’s the only one left alive, which means a lot, both in the muggle and magical worlds, and will need to see to a lot of politics, business and social duties because of this.

2. Inquisitive Harry: Harry will have every reason to be interested of yet also leery of the Wizarding world and magic, and will thus always be on the lookout to learn more and using his knowledge. He will push hard for independence and freedom, wanting to never be near the Dursleys or be controlled by anyone ever again.

3. Evil Dumbledore: and I mean truly evil. Think Sidious level, and you might come close. A true villain who wants to rule his world from behind the scenes and who needs just one more war where he can both be seen as a hero again, and control an up and coming hero, to do it. He will be intelligent, roll with the punches, and always attempt to control everything he can.

4. Reluctant Advisors: Gringotts will be pulled into helping Harry in numerous ways, not just on the business end and handing over the family Grimoire. They are not happy about helping humans, and rather furious that Charlus fooled them into helping Harry along, but are unable to get out of it until his firstborn is born.  At the same time, they will try to manipulate him to their own ends, especially after they hear about the prophecy.

5. Awesome Ancient Grimoire: A lot of the story will be spent with Harry learning about his family and its magic via the Grimoire. This will mean a lot of spells a lot of ancient magic, and fun times to be had.

6. Semi-competent Ministry: maybe. If it’s possible.

7. Flitwick, double agent: Flitwick will be playing a loyal Dumbledore follower as well as spying for the goblins. He will however only be out for himself really.

8. Possible Prankster: Because pranking people is a great way to learn magic. Especially if you have dupes you can blame it all on.

9. Tonksinator: As part of their duties to see Harry acclimatized to the world, Harry will meet Andy and her family. Tonks, in a agreement to access some spells form the Grimoire, will help Harry train himself, live life, and possibly loose that pesky virginity thing eventually LOL. 

10. Librarian Hermione: One should always be careful to ask permission before reading a magical book. That doesn’t mean she won’t be friends with Harry it’ll just mean she’ll suddenly find her life’s goals shifting.

11. Wanna see the world: Every summer Harry will be traveling the world to places the Grimoire tells him about and beyond. 

12. Multi (does this come as a surprise to anyone?) relationship: Eventually Harry will be with the Patil Twins, Tonks possibly, and one more girl.  

13. Duels: Harry will be very bloody-minded in many ways, and will use duels and dueling to get rid of his enemies if he sees the slightest hint he can.

High School, the Next Great Adventure, a Harry Potter and HOTD crossover: 

Harry Potter, wishful to leave the fame of the Boy Who Lived behind him, decides to leave Britain, aided by the surviving Weasleys minus Ginny who is still very much after him, and Hermione, who knows how much he hates fame. He settles on Japan, which is a closed community, the Japanese magical society having been able to fend off the rest of the world’s magicals attempts to make them conform, but having retreated all the same into anonymity. 

Once there he is immediately accosted and told as a foreigner he must agree to have his magic bound while learning the local ways - not so much as a real attempt to control him, but as an attempt to scare him off. The Japanese magical community is even more standoffish than the rest of the country when it comes to gaijin. But he agrees to it, and is bound after being taught the local language. He decides normality is precisely what he wants at this point, and randomly decides on a high school to go to.

The school is Fujimi Academy and he arrives as a freshman several months before the start of HOTD canon. The cover story for his age would be that he had been involved in a car accident that put him in a coma for several years, and then decided to get away from his old home and people who had moved on with their lives. When the zombies show up he realizes that normality just isn’t in the cards for him, and that maybe he should have figured out a way around the whole magically bound thing…

Things this fic would contain:

1. Somewhat canon Harry: This Harry will be a good dal more canon compliant at least at first than I ever normally do at first, just so everyone knows. However some long term… issues will develop over time.

2. Muggle Harry: For a time, Harry will be unable to use magic, having to rely instead on his wits and reflexes. Eventually this will change, but at first he will have a very hard time of it, just like all the others.

3. Non-canon events: I would not be following any of the canon events except perhaps the stopover at Rika’s place and saving Alice. I could possibly even see to saving her father. 

4. Getting to the bottom of things: Harry will be able to tell this outbreak is magical in origin. In the long term he will work to try to find out how to solve it and will be forced to do a lot of traveling to do it. 

5. Country hopping Potter: Harry and his allies will need to not only escape from the city, but all of Japan then travel from there into the continent to figure out what happened. This will mean a lot of travel and a lot of different issues

6. Different magical schools: as they travel Harry will learn from the bits and pieces of magic from different countries.

7. Distopian fic: think post-apocalyptic eventually to a degree well above the canon HOTD. After all, Japan is relatively civilized, organized and has very strict gunlaws. Elsewhere this is not the case.

8. Character cameos: Instead of having to add characters to the core group, I would show small cameo moments of other characters dealing with the undead, both HP and HOTD characters.

9. Shido is small change: in the manga he causes issues several times, but here, not so much. Instead we will have several different smalltime, midboss and big boss level villains, including a blast from the past and a heroine turned mindless follower of the new order.

10. Eventual Master of Death: there will be repercussions caused by Harry having his magic sealed and still being in possession of the three Deathly Hollows - he would not be putting the Wand or ring in Dumbledore’s crypt or whatever he did in canon. 

11. Different core group: I have no idea what I would change here, but I would be changing things just to make the survival portion of the story different on it’s own.

12. Pairing: Harry/Saya/Shizuka. Instead of Saeko saving Shizuka Harry would, along with Saya who he has befriended thanks to teaching her English in return for classes on computers. The three of them would try to leave school immediately, never even meeting up with the others just yet. Harry and Saya would have begun flirting before the zombie outbreak, while Shizuka just thinks his green eyes are too cute for words. 

A different Kind of Magic, a Harry Potter and Familiar of Zero crossover:

An 18 year old Harry is sighing and irritable having just had another fight with Ginny. He did want to get back together, but didn’t want her to control his life. He wanted to see the world, she wanted to go back to school, and then for them to get jobs in the ministry. Harry was fine with the job, but not going back to school, since he had already taught himself a lot from the Black Library. He wanted to instead sit for his Mastery - transfiguration and DADA, get a job after that. He had learned that trying to be normal was not for him, even if he still wanted a normal family. Ron and Hermione were no help, too busy sucking face, a sight to turn the hardiest stomach. 

But he had to get a meeting with the Goblins out of the way today. The Gobs were still stroppy about his and his friends breaking in, and had demanded they come in and make recompense. The recompense was paying off the gold necessary to raise and train a dragon and repair the damages, plus half the gold in their vault. Harry forced to pay for his friends too, argues about it, argument grows heated and then the axes and spells fly. But then, between one moment and the next, Harry sees some odd teleportation magic opening a portal in front of him. “Any port in a storm and all that.”

Needless to say the boys and girls of Colbert’s class are surprised to see Louise the Zero summon a powerful nobleman. After all, what else could this man be, given they will have seen him throwing around spells? Harry does nothing to offset this idea when he starts to realize that this might have been a one way trip, whereupon he lays waist to the entire classroom and goes off in search of “someone with enough bloody common sense to fill a teaspoon!” 

Things this fic will contain:

1. Take no shit Potter: he will not like the way this world is set up, and will make no bones who knows it. 

2. Flirty Kirche: she will like what she sees in this otherworldly wizard, yes indeed. 

3. Political Potter: He is used to dealing with the ministry, all its various factions, and how they will attempt to manipulate people.  He won’t be manipulated or used and will be more than willing to fight fire with fire, or anything else needed.

4. Half-Gandalfr: Louise will have kissed him, but the spell won’t have taken because she’s not strong enough to push her will on Harry’s, thus getting around the language barrier but not doing anything else.

5. Potter as a trainer: For a time Harry will agree to try to teach his brand of magic to Louise and the others, but success will be varied. But each student will need to come up with something to offer him, as he won’t have any interest in becoming a teacher at the school. Again, this could lead to some interesting interactions.

6. Harry/Henrietta: this won’t start off as love, but it will certainly be interest at first sight and will build from there. Henrietta will see a handsome, powerful, ‘obviously’ noble magic user with spells no one has seen and a caring, selfless attitude. Harry will see a beautiful young woman who is practically being broken by her position and the constraints of tradition and her own mother’s lack of will.

7. Siesta as Harry’s personal maid: due to saving her from various nobles and their attentions. What this means will be up in the air for now. But it might well mean some sexy times - with Siesta leaping into his bed willingly- even if they don’t become a permanent item. She will also be important for a variety of reasons on the social scene.

8. War, combat, world building: Harry will know enough to point the locals toward electricity, better guns and better magic, as well as wanting desperately to start an industrial revolution and a middle class. One which Henrietta would just love to recruit to her side.

Heroic Wizard, Harry Potter and My Hero Academia crossover:

Thanks to health inspections at school the Dursleys are forced to take both Harry and Dudley to the dentist (no not The Granger’s lol, though I might reconsider that). While Dudders is getting his first ever cavity seen to, Harry walks out of the office  and down the street, looking around and just happy to get away, wondering once more why his bruises always seem to heal before anyone but the Dursleys see them. Morose about needing to head back, Harry doesn’t notice that he’s outside a bank until the front of it explodes. Seeing several people injured, he finds himself rushing forward before he can think about it, wanting to help, and has several accidental magic moments. Interfering with the villain assault he is nearly killed, only to be saved by All Might, who was in Britain for a hero exchange program. 

Seeing a young boy with the build of a ten year old trying to save adults, he steps in and afterwards talks to the boy, while dodging the Memory eraser teams, which arrived warned by Harry’s being there. Becoming horrified by his home life, All Might instantly decides to adopt the youth, taking Harry with him back to Japan, finding that Harry had no adoption papers or anything else to speak of, further horrifying him. In Japan, Harry convinces him to make up with his sidekick, Sir Nighteye. Together the two of them decide to raise Harry, seeing in him and his magic both the will and possibility for greatness. 

Things this fic would contain:

1. Full universe merging: Rather than taking just Harry over to a new world, I would instead attempt to merge the two universes in a believable manner. The Wizards will have tried to stop the growth of quirks at first, but the problem quickly became too big for them to handle, and they then, of course, try to retreat into their own worlds, but even there, quirks start to show up, and unlike most human governments, the ICW lacks the flexibility to truly deal with the quirks. Conversely, the muggles and heroes are aware of the WW because of these attempts, and will be on the lookout for their further attempts to mind-wipe and otherwise hide themselves. Many governments will not like the idea of areas of their country not, in fact, falling under their control, but various wizarding governments will start to move with the times, slowly merging overall but not coming out into the open, fearing religious backlash on the one hand and societal destruction on the other.  This will be shown in the first chapter, with All Might seeing both a few progressives among the locals, and a few diehard separatists too. 

2. Switching Schools: Harry will switch schools during his third year for various reasons, though up to that point will go to Hogwarts and have his canon adventures.  Needless to say, this will result in a lot of conflicts, large and small. But with Sir Nighteye and All Might in his corner, Harry will take on all comers and chart his own course to become a hero. This means the setting will shift, and I would want to do so in about five chapters or so. 

3. Trained Harry: Harry will have been trained, both his mind and body, from a very young age and so that his body can handle the pressure of One for All. How OFA will interact with his magic though, that is something no one will foresee. 

4. Voldemort Tutoring Shigaraki: With spells like the AK and others at their control, Voldemort will be someone even All for One has to tread carefully around. When AFO is captured, Voldemort, who will have resurrected himself during Harry’s first year at UA (his fourth in Hogwarts terms) will take over the adding the league to his Death Eaters. 

5. Izuku as a side character: With Harry already being given training and taken in by All Might, he may go the support course role and become good friends with Harry. Uncertain. But he will certainly still be there, think somewhere between Neville and Ron.

6. Bakugo as a rival: or at least he’ll see himself as one. “But hey, at least you’re not as much of a waste of space as Malfoy”. 

7. Pairings: Here I would go with Harry/Tonks/Momo/Fleur/more? Uncertain.  Although I mean for the romance to be a more minor note than in many of my stories: think Chaotic Space level.

a. Momo and Harry would get along great, both being intelligent and driven individuals with similar powers, able to help one another along in their studies to expand their powers in many ways, though more on Momo’s side of things. They will become one another’s first romantic interests, with all that entails. 

b. Tonks in turn would be training to be a hero instead of an Auror, believing that way she will be able to help more people. She will first be asked by Dumbles to keep an eye on Harry, but eventually fall for him while training to be the most badarse heroine she can be including coming up with a combat form.

c. Fleur will be interested in Harry and vice-versa almost from first meeting, having had a lot of similar experiences, respecting one another like Harry and Momo, and Fleur will be very… open with her affections. He will in no way be a leetle boy. 

8. Manipulative but generally Good Dumbledore: Albus is an old man who doesn’t do change very well, but will have to try to move with the times, all while still believing he alone knows how to defeat Riddle.  This leads to some conflict, but also some growth on his part, and eventually some new friendships once he is forced to realize that no, he doesn’t know best. 

9. Everybody hates Harry: Harry will find himself in the center of the villains growing schemes with several rivals both among fellow heroes and the villains. 

Bring back Fate Touched in Middle Earth!!!! This is kind of self-explanatory. But in this manner, with it in it’s own poll against sword bow and Horse plus multiplying its votes by 1.5, it might have a chance. Who knows? I’ll be willing to see anyway.

Bhaal Son Remodel: Harry Potter addition a Gamer, Baldur’s Gate and Harry Potter Crossover:

Harry has always used games as a way to retreat from the world. The summer of his second year is no different, actually its worse since the Dursleys only let him out when they want him to cook for them, locking him in his room when he can. Since his friends, even Hermione, aren’t replying to his mail for some reason, he becomes even more desperate to escape. When Dursley breaks a brand new computer, he steals it away from the bin one morning, and tries to repair it, even becoming so desperate as to use magic. This gets him a missive from the DMLE, causing him even more anxiety. 

Desperate, he sneaks out one evening with the computer thinking that maybe he could use magic in a magical area without being called on it. He tries to get to Diagon Alley, basically running away from the Dursleys for a few days. He finds a few books he can use to try and repair the computer, searching for those books in Nocturne Alley. Eventually after two days searching, he finds a few books that seem able to help him and even an older willing to work directly on the computer. However, his work is interrupted by Dumbledore, who, after several minutes of argument, returns him to the Dursleys over Harry’s protests.

One beating later, Harry hooks up his computer, anxious and desperate for a real escape. And when Harry hooks the computer up, it works!!! He was even able to start using the windows, and then started to play the last game Dudders had been playing, Baldur’s Gate. Duddley had thought it too hard even on the easiest level of difficulty, but that was Dudley, and Harry was used to hard, so went with that. The skull in the circle of the loading screen seems to go on for a long time though, and then it vanishes in a white light so bright Harry’s blinded. When he opened his eyes again, suddenly Harry finds himself not staring at a computer, but a vast skull and crossbones in front of him, hurtling towards and then through him. Then he hears a voice shouting, “Prepare your character!!!” to which Harry replies with “…Whut?”

What this fic would contain:

1. Gamer stats, interaction points: Like in Litrpgs or the Gamer fics, there will be quests, stats, level ups, all that jazz, though I will endeavor to not make it all pervading to the point it gets in the way of the fic. They will however include relationship points, romance options, friendship buffs, etc. There will also be stats from other games and ideas of giving gifts, and bonuses for completing armor sets and other such.

2. Gamer’s mind: in Gamer fics this is something that causes the character to be unable to panic.

3. Baldur’s Gate: Harry will be spawned, obviously, into the character of the first game. He will makes his way through the world, completing quests, meeting new characters, and then killing many of them LOL. Of course, the original plot will be expanded by my sometimes insane mind, and Harry will not be railroaded as easily as happened a whole lot in both BG 1 and 2.  I will also include a lot of the fan-made mods.

4. Full Character remake: Harry will be able to remake his body as he wants to. This will come with some issues:

I. Magic or brute force: Harry’s a teenage boy, and while yes, most boys want to play with magic, Harry has learned it’s not all that it’s cracked up to be. So he will want to dual wield and in so doing run roughshod over that whole ‘can’t wear heavy armor use heavy weapons bull-shite.

II. Young Adult body. The character in the game is eighteen or twenty one, jumping straight into that kind of body, even if he’s the one who creates that body, will cause issues for a twelve to thirteen year old. “Wait, what’s with the hair on my chest? And I have to shave my face now? With a knife?!

III. Misconceptions and body issues. Having the ability to remake his body, Harry will try to remake it into what he thinks a hero would look like. Of course, he’ll then have to get used to not being small, scrawny or able to fade into the background. “Maybe going for a Seven-foot tall barbarian mage build was a bit much?”

5. MAGIC: Harry suddenly finds himself in one of, if not the largest library, and makes use of it, and the fact that the tutorial section is going to stay open until he finishes all its quests. He will also work hard to keep his buff appearance.

6. Comedy: Outside the initial setup, I mean for this fic to be comedy and violence centered with a raunchy romance portion building up in the future. Harry won’t be able to go there right away, but it will happen eventually.

7. Out of his depth Dumbledore. Faced with the utterly bizarre mix of a runic soul trap, accidental magic, and technology, Dumbledore will be at his wits end trying to get his tool back, only to fail miserably.

8. Tonks as Imoen: That seems such a great fit! Harry’s disappearance will be discovered, and by the time he is basically forced out of the tutorial before he becomes too OP, where he went will be discovered, albiet accidentally. Tonks, assistant to the great Moody, will be brought in because of her half-muggle background, and while trying to explain that yes, computers are amazing and no, there aren’t little people inside them, she will be captured by the same trap that claimed Harry, and then will be forced into the character that suits her best. “So, we’re trapped in this game until we get to the end at least. I’m a thief and a mage at the same time, but I’m super-scrawny, and unlike you I can’t get around the whole stupid no armor shite. But hey, at least I get to keep my pink hair, and make snarky comments. Oh, and my whole balance issue has been solved. So on the whole, can’t complain, but what is up with me baps (tits) being so small!?”

9. Moral ambiguity: Harry will deal with a lot of real, moral questions, and have to decide what to do about them. His alignments will not be set in stone, and popularity/reputation will not exist, at least at first, but some choice will impact how Harry is seen by those around him and within his party.

10. Romance: To expand the previously mentioned points, Harry will, with his Gamer ability, see relationships as something quantifiable (god if that were only true LOL) which could not only add to his own abilities, but the women in question. It won’t be there all the time, but when it is, he will jump on it, eventually creating a harem in more of a traditional sense than I normally mean the term.

I. Imoen will not be a romance option. Imoen and Harry will fall into a brother sister roll easy, which will be expanded when Tonks shows up. Tonks just can’t see Harry, no matter how muscley and handsome, as a guy she’d date, because she can remember the times she changed his diapers as a baby. Kind of kills any romantic feeling.

II. In the first half, Harry will build up his charisma/suave scores by having a few one night’s stands with barmaids and other ladies whose virtue, while not negotiable, certainly do not require more than a few days’ worth of effort. Tonks will in fact encourage this, thinking they could be saved any moment, and not wanting Harry to have any regrets. But eventually that will fade as the time in game gets to her.

III. In the first vanilla game, there were no romance options (I think, can’t remember playing the vanilla game sans mods) however fanmods added a few. One of them will be followed, even if it is going to crash and burn because Harry is Chaotic good and she’s… Viconia. The other, Daynahera (sorry about the spelling) has much the same problem. But both ladies make evil look so good, that Harry will try to convert them, and vice-versa. As for Viconia, she will return later, and will find her Bhaalspawn has grown even stronger, deadlier, and richer, as well as having determined that the farmer’s life is not for her. She will then try to make a place at his side, only to find she will have to change her tune to do it, finding eventually that perhaps it’s not so bad as all that.

IV. Jaheira. The feisty, snarky, judgmental lady will try to fall into a mentor roll, which Harry will off-times reject. One thing I will keep from the book is that her and Khalid’s relationship is very much on the rocks, but more because they are just too different rather than Khalid being abusive at times and having wondering eyes and her just taking it. Yes, the book went there, and yes, her character in the book was just…wrong. That’s the only way to say it. Eventually, after the events of BG2 start, she will come to see Harry as more than a friend and vice-versa, becoming the first woman to really win and be won by his heart.

V. Nalia. Nalia is the character used to replace Imoen when she is captured in one of those railroaded moments (which hint, hint, won’t happen in this fic) and is also someone who gives the warrior class a place to call home. She’s naïve, horribly sheltered, but amusing enough that Harry could keep her around. 

VI. Saerileth. For those of you who don’t know, Saerileth is a fanmod character, a young (16) year old paladin from another plane sent to search out the Bhallspawn to basically make certain he stays on the path of the straight and narrow he has decided to walk, completely disrupting his ‘god father’s’ plans. She is a beauty, and I loved both the instant love version of her romance, and the slow burn version. Very fun, and I think she could bring a great foil for the world-weary Jaheria and the ends justify the means Viconia while not being as naïve as Nalia and very much a hardcore frontline combatant. She and Tonks would also get along very well.

11. Minsc and Boo: I love them, I love Minsc, I almost never played either game without him, and I think he and Harry would get along great, and he and Imoen… oh yeah, Tonks would be all over him. Imonks (Imoen/Tonks)/Minsc romance all the way.

12. Edwina: Male in the first game and a pseudo-enemy, eventually he might come back as a companion for a time, then as a female, which Harry, and literally everyone else who met him in the original game section, will have fun with. And Harry will be on the lookout to make the change permanent, thinking it very poetic justice. Plus for some reason Edwina’s nearly as stacked as Viconia. 

13. Eventual Hermione as Aerie: The attempts to free Harry, and oh, Tonks too, will continue, with time in the real world being a bare fraction of the time in-game. Yet with all the wizards stumped, even the man who created the trap in the first place, who Moody will have found, no one can figure out how to get them out. Hermione, eventually fed up and now sick and tired of having only Ron around, will attempt to get them out on her own, only to be trapped in the game along with them. “What do you mean I’m stuck in that whiny twig’s body!!?” Eventually though, she will expand and grow well beyond the original Aerie’s trope, and possibly into hero own Romance with Harry now that he’s gone from thin and all too young-looking to studly. 

14. Expanded side quests: In BG2 you are given a series of quests that give you what is called a base of operations, a hall or center which give you quests for your character’s class. This will eventually lead to Harry becoming a lord of the land.

15. Banter: loved a lot of the banter in the games, even a lot of BG2’s non-modded banter was fantastic. Now throw in Harry with his sometimes snarky, sometimes aggressively violent view of the world, and Tonks and her sense of fun. Even Jaheira and Viconia will smile when the two of them and Minsc (“and Boo too”) get going.

16. Expanded squad: Since there’s no need to limit the size of the team we can play with all the characters at once. 

17. Bhaal power soul sliver meets Voldemort soul sliver: As anyone who has played Baldur’s Gate 2, all the Bhallspawn had within them slivers of the original god of murder. I am uncertain if these two slivers of darkest evil would cancel one another out (with Voldy having a home field advantage letting him match raw power with leverage), eventually join forces to try to take Harry over, or fight him for dominance and need to be beaten back occasionally. Regardless, it would be a plot point.

18. No Throne of Bhaal Expansion: With Harry a lord of the land he won’t see any need to hare off to chase other Bhallspawn, instead waiting for them to come to him, building up his troops and Amn’s as well.
