January Small Story Poll (Patreon)

Greetings and Salutations everyone!  It is that time of the month once more to post next month's polls here on Patron.  

For those of you who have joined up this last month, welcome, and I wish you a Happy New Year going forward.  How these votes work is for every dollar you donate, you get four (4) votes to use however you wish PER poll.  That is, four (4) votes in this poll, and four (4) to use in the large story poll.   

However this time I wish to do something a little different. There are a few reasons for this:

1. Making Waves this month is going to be a beast.  45-50,000 words min.  For this reason I am going to shoot to have it out for the Super Bowl (a big deal in America for those of you beyond our shores on the third of February.

2.  November and December were the best months for the number of patrons to sign up I've seen in a while.  So I wish to reward you all for that, and I feel that doing so with patron only content is the best way.  I might try something different in the future, but for January, this is the way I'm going to go because...

3. Looking at my schedule going forward, if I work it out right and like I said push MW back to the third of February, I might be able to do three other small stories.

4.  I REALLY want to write the next chapter of Sword Bow and Horse because i want to start taking it away from canon in, like, the worst way imaginable!!!! seriously, I have the whole chapter plotted out already, and a few jokes already written.  

5. Somewhat less so, I think it's time to add to the HP side of my patron only content, despite the poor showing Harry Sawyer saw in this last poll.  

To that end, should you vote for either of those stories in the poll below and do not vote in the large story poll, I will let you double down on your votes! 

The choices for January's Small Story polls are:

1.  Semblance of Hope - Ranma/RWBY crossover:  Ranma and team JNPR have fun on the ocean, Ranma accidentally creates a romantic atmosphere, and then of course has Chaos kick him in the teeth.   Elsewhere Blake demands answers, Adam doesn't give any, a false alarm and various issues arise, while on the ocean, the Grimm decide to try fishing for Ranma.

(I have to issue an apology for fans of this story.  The summary of this chapter in the December poll was severely lacking, and matched what would have been if the chapter preceding it had gone according to plan, which didn't happen.  My bad.)

2.  Fate-Touched in Middle Earth - HP/Tolkien crossover: Harry imitates a backback, Bilbo has an important talk with Gandalf about morality, Thorin and co have issues with orcs. fire and trees, and then meet a shape-changer before going into 'the spookiest bloody woods' Harry has ever seen.  

3.  How about a patron only gift for your HP fans!?  Straight Harry Potter fic: Harry Sawyer  Being somewhat impressionable and too smart for his own good, Harry runs away to sea. After being on his own and having a number of adventures, how will Harry, who has discovered his magic already and begun to manipulate the very elements, react to Hogwarts, Dumbledore, and the Magical world?  Wands? Whyever would a need a wand? Oh dear... 

4. Sword Bow and Horse: Political intrigue starts to rear it's ugly mug, Ranma shows off in various ways while being forced to deal with needing to play a role in his girl form.  A assassination attempt fails horribly, but Ranma once more shows off, and is offered a lot in return for going on a trip, whereupon he meets new friends, before having to return to punch lots and lots of people in the face including one who might well be this world's version of Ryoga on steroids.

5. Anything Goes Game Changer 10: Plans are made and enacted.  Minato and several others head off to rescue a little girl with an astonishing tagalong, while Uzume, Ranma, and Tofu descend on a certain hospital to  rescue one Ashikabi and wreck another's day.   At the same time, back in Nerima, Nabiki has a meeting with a Kuno who has a brain, during which certain things are talked about and Nabiki learns it's good to have your own horde of ninjas before everyone sees that getting into the hospital was easy, getting back to Nerima.... that's going to be a lot tougher.

6. FILFy teacher: (yes I can keep the next chapter small LOL)  Reactions abound, romance is in the air as the family welcomes it's newest member.  Family connections are restarted for some, as Harry and the boys have a bit of an adventure of the crappy kind.  Vultures circle, as Harry and his family continue to prepare not just for trouble, but for the rest of thier lives going forward.
