Chapter 243: The Tournament Part 9

Chinjao tossed away his doubts and attacked once more.

This time, Vivi had no weapon to use so she coated her right arm in haki to answer his powerful punch.

She could have tried dodging it, but she wanted to know how her punches compared to this man.

The two blackened fists collided in the middle of the arena, creating a shock wave that pushed back anything in its path while the two fighters remained still.

"Who taught you how to use haki, little one?" asked Chinjao.

"I have learned many things from many different people, but in the end, I had to learn everything for myself….let me show you something…"

Vivi moved a step back and tapped her feet in quick succession.

"Soru!"

She disappeared from the spot and the next instant, she was in the air, right behind him.

Don Chinjao turned around and tried to slap her off the air.

"Geppo."

She disappeared from her position once more, moving to his blind spots.

"Rokuogan!" He heard her voice coming from behind and moments later, he felt a tremendous amount of pain on his right leg and lost his balance.

"Uhggg!" Don Chinjao used his willpower to ignore the pain and remain standing.

"Damn it!, those moves are from the Marines!."

The commentator was going crazy and the marines on the stands were even worse.

"How can she use that?!"

"Could she be a secret agent?, maybe from CP0?"

"A secret agent would not be showing off her techniques in a tournament,  you moron!"

"Silence!"

The superior officer took control of the situation and ordered them to shut up. They were supposed to be here as undercover agents. Doflamingo does not allow Marines into the coliseum.

"We must inform Vice-Admiral Bastille, one of you has to go out and find him, now!".

"You are a marine!" Don Chinjao gave her an accusatory glare. He did not like Marines at all.

"Wrong…and I'm not done yet."

She jumped again in the air.

The old man is immediately on guard. But when he saw that she was aiming a kick at his head, a smile was drawn on his face.

"You fool…my head is my strongest part."

His bald head changed color as it became covered in haki and welcomed her attack.

Vivi's boot made an impact with another shockwave.

Don Chinjao was expecting her leg to break and then see her falling down to the ground at any moment the outcome was very different.

Not only her leg did not break,  but it was him the one who took damage.

The old man gave out a painful scream and grabbed his head with both hands.

Vivi landed some distance away and looked at the damage she had caused.

"An interesting technique, the secret is to hit in several places at an extremely fast speed, generating a vibration that gets stronger with every hit and causes internal damage. How did I do?" Vivi asked.

"That's!...you stole my grandson 'Hasshouken', how?...you only saw it once!" The old man could not believe it.

"But then…" He came to another realization.

"You aren't a marine. You stole their rokushiki too, didn't you? they will hunt you down for that."

Vice count help but laugh. The Marines were already hunting her down for several reasons and stealing those techniques was probably very low on their list.

"I can do more than just copying." She walked slowly. Pondering about what she wanted to do.

She could take advantage of her perfect memory to analyze a technique over and over in order to understand it and then produce a copy of it. But creating a new move was much more difficult.

When Vivi moved closer, the old man had time to recover a bit but was not ready yet to use his head again as a weapon.

Don Chinjao roared with anger and sent a powerful punch at her but Vivi was much faster and was able to avoid it and position herself next to one of his legs.

With a swift motion, she moved her right palm and connected a soft hit against her opponent's leg.

At first, nothing seemed to happen, but then, Don Chinjao let out a scream and fell down while clutching his leg tightly.

“Mmm, that didn't feel right…” Vivi was looking at her hand. She was able to combine the vibrations from the ‘Hasshouken’ with the shockwave effect of the ‘Rokuogan’. But the result was weaker than she expected, it was easy for her to tell that it didn't even fracture the bones, much less break them.

As if to prove her words, Don Chinjao stood back up, but his face was covered in sweat and he was breathing.

“What an incredible display!” The announcer shouted.

“Lady Lucy is pushing back Don Chinjao!”

“That woman is a freaking monster!.” Shouted Buggy and Luffy chuckled.

“Yeah, she is very strong, right?” He said.

“You are talking like you know her already,” Buggy said with an accusatory tone.

“Of course I do!, and you know her too.” Luffy grinned.

The old man walked with difficulty and kept his intense glare on Vivi.

“That was an interesting move there, I will admit that…oi!” He got angry the moment he realized that she wasn't paying attention to him anymore.

“If I do that…then…” Vivi had a hand under her chin and seemed to be in deep thought.

“That's right!, I can try that!”

“Don't ignore me, woman!” Screamed Don Chinjao.

Vivi moved her eyes to meet his.

“Sorry about that…I think I will end this fight with my next move.”

“Huh?, you think I'm your punching bag?!. I'm going to teach you to respect your elders!“ The entire upper body of the old man turned completely black as he covered it in haki.

“Come!, give me your best shot!”

Vivi adopted a sprint position with one hand on the ground. Her muscles tensed and her eyes gained a light shine to them.

The stone tiles exploded as she flew away in a straight line to her oponent.

Don Chinjao tried to stop her movements in any way he could but Vivi was able to change directions on the ground and in the air at a tremendous speed he was, not only, slower than her but with an injured leg, it was difficult to move or turn his position.

Before he could do anything, he saw the image of Vivi right beneath his chin.

Vivi’s right arm turned into a blur and hit the old man on his lower jaw with such force that it lifted him in the air, his eyes turned white, and lost consciousness before he hit the ground.

‘That was much better!, I'm going to need a name for that move!’ She thought with excitement.
