Chapter 241: The tournament part 7

At the audience area, two new spectators had just arrived and were looking for a place to sit.

"Here!...ohh…ops." Luffy waved too fast and his fake beard almost fell.

Buggy grumbled something unpleasant and went to take a seat.

"I have been told, there are still plenty of fights left!" Luffy said with excitement.

" I still don't know why you wanted to accompany me here. I thought you guys had more important things to do." Commented the clown.

"shishishi, how can I miss this? That toy said this tournament was the biggest event of the year," answered Luffy.

"Is your first time at the coliseum, old-timers?" A man from the front row turned around to look at them. Both Luffy and Buggy were disguised with long white bears, hats, and glasses.

"Old ti-, I mean, yes. Is our first time." Said Luffy.

"Oi, where are you looking?!, a man to the speaker's side started to yell at him.

"You just missed that hot blonde decapitating two big guys!"

"eh?, seriously?" His eyes went back to the arena.

"It looks like she is going to get run over by that bull now," Buggy said, no really caring at all. His main focus was somewhere else.

The audience went into shock when they saw the blonde gladiator stop the charging bull with one hand.

"Impossible!"

"What is she made of?!!"

"She has to be a devil fruit user of some kind. You can stop an animal like the fighting bull with strength alone."

People in the audience could be heard commenting on the match.

Buggy looked at the blonde girl with more attention now. A bead of swear was falling across his face.

"She reminds me of someone unpleasant…"

Luffy looked at the girl with a lot of attention, not moving his eyes off her. Then, he started to laugh.

Buggy noticed his strange behavior and frowned. They were supposed to be laying low and he was being noisy as usual.

"What is so funny?"

"Shishi, you'll see." That was all Luffy told him, something that annoyed the clown even further.

"Fine, I don't care. Oh, here he comes!" Buggy's gaze moved to look at the approaching giant.

"Go, big guy!, crush them all!." He cheered.

Back at the arena.

Hajrudin was truly massive, even for a giant standard. 

He wore metal gauntlets, and a bronze helmet and wielded an axe almost as big as himself.

Not interested in exchanging words with her, the giant raised the axe in the air before bringing it down upon her with all his might, ready to shatter the arena itself.

Vivi moved to one side as the blade made contact with the arena, shaking the entire structure. 

"Oi, is he trying to break the whole thing?!" Shouted the bald old man as his body shook.

Vivi jumped in the air before the giant had time to recover and aimed her blade at his head.

Hajrudin chose to let go of the axe and used his gauntlets to cover his face.

Vivi's blade might have been considered massive for her size but for her current oponent, it was not bigger than a toothpick.

"Ha!" She slashed at the gauntlets, managing to cut some of the metal but not reaching the flesh

"Tsk!"

So far she had fought using only her physical strength and speed, but this was not going to be enough for this oponent.

Vivi looked at her sword. After that single strike, the blade had become quite chipped.

"Those gauntlets are freaking hard…"

Hajruding had now time to recover his weapon and was ready for another round.

This time, he went for a horizontal swing as she landed back on the ground.

Everyone left in the arena had to get down to avoid being hit by the massive axe.

Vivi used her superior speed and small size to jump just in time and get on top of the giant blade.

Hajrudin noticed this and brought the blade closer to with with his left arm while using his right fist to smash her before she could get off the metal 'platform' she was in.

"Clang!" A tremendous sound was heard when the two pieces of metal collided but Vivi was not there anymore.

The giant moved his eyes and franticly scanned the air in front of him until he located her.

"There!" He let go of the axe handle and moved his gauntlet to catch her as she fell.

"geppo."

Before he could touch her, she jumped again, using the air itself as a platform.

The general audience was surprised by this.

However, there was a group who was particularly shocked by this since they recognized the technique.

Among the audience, was a small group of Marines,  who were placed there to take note of every notorious individual participating in the tournament so they could be arrested later on. The Doflamingo family had a policy that prevented them from making any arrests inside the coliseum.

"That technique!"

"It can't be!"

"That's the rokushiki."

Vivi made continued use of this technique in very fast succession, making it impossible for the giant to intercept her while she closed the gap.

An instant later, Vivi was right in front of the giant's face, her haki-coated sword trusted straight into his left eye without giving him the chance to move away.

"Ahhh!" Hajrudin let out a blood-curdling scream. He brought a hand to cover his bleeding face but lost his balance and fell back, landing on the audience seats.

Most of the audience members were able to move away before he fell, but a few unfortunate ones were crushed by the massive body of Hajridin.

"He….he is out of bounds! Ladies and gentlemen, Hajrudin has been eliminated!" The announcer called.

"Nooo!" screamed Buggy from the other side of the arena.

"What's wrong old man? The from the front seat turned around again.

"Why are you yelling now?, are you friends with that giant or something?" Luffy asked.

"I bet all my money on that giant winning then block C fight!. I just lost it all." Cried Buggy.
