Chapter 183: Sea Forest

"Sorry you had to see had. Let me clean this mess a bit before I leave." Vivi created a few clones to drag away the corpses of the five men who had just died while she cleaned the blood away.

"W-Who are you?" Asked the old mermaid with a hint of fear now.

Bell was half hiding behind her grandma.

"I'm a pirate, but I'm not like them…” Seeing how scared they looked, Vivi turned around and started to walk away.

“I’ll leave you be then.”

“Wait.” Called the old mermaid. “You will need a coated vehicle to move around the island…let me call a friend of mind, it won't take long. Is the least we can do”

Vivi nodded. Her attention went back to the location of his friends, they had started moving now. Most of them were together in the northern area, where the palace is located. Franky was with two unknown signatures, northeast of there.

The signatures on the Fishman Pirates headquarters had disappeared, and she found some of them crossing the island.

‘They were planning on attacking the royal family and taking over the island if I recall…how pointless.’

She wasn't sure if Big Mom had already claimed the island because things were moving at a different pace now, but someone like Hody Jones will never be able to retain control of the island, that was for sure.

She looked back and saw the old mermaid and Bell, walking next to a man who was riding a small bike encased in a bubble.

‘It looks like the ones back at Shabondy, but somewhat bigger.’ She thought.

“Greetings young lady” Said the man. “I have been told you are in need of transportation.”

Bell then approached her with her head looking down, she was holding something in her hands.

“I'm sorry about before…after you saved us.”

“I took no offense, you have nothing to worry about. Some people can't stand the sight of blood and violence. Is that the letter you want me to deliver?” Vivi pointed at Bell's hands.

She nodded.

“If you still want to…I mean, you saved us so is not like you own us anything.”

“A promise is a promise, I’ll deliver it. I was planning on going to that forest anyways.” She was sure that’s where Franky and Sunny ended up and the rest of the crew was going that way too.

Vivi then took the letter and walked to the vehicle.

“How much to rent this thing?“

Only took her a few minutes of traveling to reach the forest, all she had to do was follow Franky’s position. The island was not that big, to begin with.

She spotted the Sunny and next to it was the cyborg, talking to a big fishman who was sitting on a rock.

“Huh?, who?...Vivi?!” Exclaimed Franky after seeing her.

She landed the vehicle and got off, there was a big bubble covering the Sea Forest so she could walk outside with no problems.

“Hey, Franky!” She waved at him before looking at the other person. “And you are…Mister Jimbei, right?”

The Fishman gave her a sort of measuring look.

“I am Jimbei, there is no need for the Mister. I also know who you are, former Princess of Arabasta, Nefertari Vivi.”

They exchanged greetings but the Shichibukai remained distant and careful around her.

“Right…I have something for you.” Vivi took out the letter and gave it to him.

“For me?” Jimbei took the small letter and looked at it. He started reading and looked very surprised by the end. He looked back at Vivi but he seemed to be a bit less on edge than before.

“You saved Glenda and her granddaughter?” 

“Is that the name of the old mermaid?, she never introduced herself…it wasn't a big deal, just some pirates who were looking for trouble. I was the least I could do after they saved me.” Said Vivi.

“You got into a fight already?” Asked Franky.

Jimbei's expression turned into a smile briefly before going back to becoming serious.

“Thank you for that…but you and your crew should not get more involved with the Fishman Pirates, Hody Jones is a dangerous man and very unstable at this moment...I don't know what, but I know he and his crew are planning something big.”

“Fishman Pirates? the guys that tried to attack us when  we came in?” Wondered Franky.

“Yeah, those guys I fought were new recruits, apparently this Hody Jones is the Captain and he sends his men to forcefully recruit other fishmen for his crew or ask for money.”

“That's terrible!” Exclaimed Franky with indignation.

‘To be fair, that's a very pirate thing to do…we are the odd ones.’ Vivi decided not to point that out.

“How is the ship?” She ended up asking.

Franky smiled. “No problem, the Sunny hasn't suffered any serious damage. Is a thought ship!. And I meet someone great who is going to help with the coating.” He said with pride.

“We should wait for the Captain here. He is already coming this way.” Suggested Vivi.

“Oh!, that's right, you can feel people from very far away!.” He remembered. ”Is everyone alright?”

Vivi nodded.

“Luffy left the palace and is coming this way. Sanji and Chopper are in the middle of the island. Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Brook remain in the palace. Buggy and Robin and together but I don't know where they are going. But I can imagine what Robin is looking for and the clown is probably following her for protection.”

 “I see…well, Im glad everyone is okay!” Said Franky.

Jimbei’s eyes were open like plates.

“Are you using observation haki?, and you can sense the entire island?!” He almost shouted.

Vivi gave him a shrug. “Is a small island.”
