Chapter 166: Vivi's true devil fruit is revealed

Back at the coast of Impel Down, Luffy and the rest were still fighting, although the number of marines had decreased drastically during the few minutes that Vivi was doing her thing.

She looked at the area where Kid was fighting and could not help but grimace. There were bloody corpses everywhere as the redhead pirate was attacking the poor men with his giant metal arm.

‘Maybe it was a bad idea to bring him out…he seems a lot more deranged than I expected.’ She thought. But she knew that it was too late to change her mind, whatever happens with Kid now, it would weigh in her consciousness. Not that she cared that much about a few marines dying to begin with.

She took a deep breath before letting out the loudest yell he could muster.

“Everyone!, get on the ship, we are leaving!.”

The fight slowed down as Luffy and the others came running to the border of the island. The ship was a good one hundred yards away, but now that there were no other ships to shoot at them, it was a lot safer for Luffy to bring them.

“Gomu Gomu no…pistol!” There were beads of sweat covering his body and he looked exhausted already after fighting for hours and using his transformations repeatedly but he still manage to continue.

His extended arm grabbed onto Smoker’s ship with a firm grip.

“Everyone who can't make it that far, grab on to me!”

Quickly, Nami, Inazuma, Bon Face, Buggy, and Chopper grabbed onto Luffy.

Sanji could easily get there by jumping with his version of geppo so there was no need.

“Wait!, me too!” The giant Morley put her hands on Luffy’s shoulders.

“Ah…okay...." A few drops of sweat fell across his face.  "Let's hope that ship is strong!” He tensed his muscles. “Go!”

His arms retracted, bringing everyone along, including the gigantic Morley.

“They are going to destroy the ship with that giant!” Tashigi shouted.

‘She is right…’ Vivi considered what to do.

“Hold on!” She took out most of her water reserves, creating a tremendously big mass of water that floated in front of her. She then moved it into place and waited.

"Where is all of that water coming from?!" Wondered Tashigi.

Her Captain and the others crashed against the mass of water, slowing their momentum.

Morley created a big splash but did not touch the ship. 

Vivi then started to reabsorb her water, letting them all rest on the deck.

“As expected of my goddess, you are the best!!” Sanji had hearts in his eyes while landing on the ship.

“What about that last guy?” Asked Marco looking back at the prison. Eustass Kid was still killing away the few marines who dared to fight him.

“...” Vivi considered it for a moment. “Go grab him…” She eventually said. They could not just leave him there after rescuing him.

As everyone was recovering from their rough landing, she turned her attention to Admiral Kizaru’s ship. 

‘It's moving again and fast!’ She realized in alarm.

“Ace!” Luffy ran to the rails and looked at the other ship.

They could barely make the shape of his brother shackled up on the deck of the ship, it was getting away very fast and moving towards the giant Gates of Justice which were now wide open.

“Nami, how long it would take to get this ship moving?” She asked.

“This is a warship and all the personnel have left, so with us alone, it would take at least a few minutes, we need to lift the anchor and deploy all the sails…”

“We don't have that long, the Admiral ship will probably take less than five minutes to reach the gates, and then…” Sanji said with dread.

“No!!, we are so close! I'm not letting them take my brother!” Shouted Luffy, his exhaustion had long been forgotten.

“This is very bad…if they take him to the Headquarters, rescuing him would be impossible…” Said Inazuma.

Vivi did not take her eyes off the Admiral ship.

‘I have to try it…even though I still can't control it…there is no other way.‘ She resigned herself.

She walked past Nami.

“Don't be too scared…is still me.” She told the navigator, who made a confused expression since she did not understand why Vivi said that.

“What are you talking about?…Vivi?”

“Captain…be ready to catch Ace!” Shouted Vivi.

Luffy looked at her with a hint of hope.

“Is there something you can do?”

She did not answer, instead, she focused on what she had to do.

Her body started to transform…much to the shock of everyone on the ship.

Her skin turned blue and her hair started to flow like water. Her entire body grew in size and her legs changed shape until they were nothing more than a stream of water that seemed to originate on her waist.

Water from her reserves started to float around her like rivers as she finished her transformation.

“What the heck is she!?”  Exclaimed Buggy.

“We thought her fruit was a logia…” Said Nami.

“It's actually a zoan?” Finished Chopper.

“That's definitely a mythical zoan fruit” Said Inazuma with surprise.

Vivi’s entire body had turned into water while still retaining her feminine shape for the most part. Her hair was flowing wildly and her size had increased at least three times her normal one.

<Divine Zoan: Undine, Goddess of the Sea> Was the name of her resulting fruit after the fusion between her original water-type devil fruit and the Divine Fruit.

She extended her watery right arm forward, toward the Admiral ship with her hand opened.

The sea waters around them started to stir violently.

“Awaken.” Said Vivi.
