Chapter 89: Elite Zombies

She looked to the other exit and spotted Robin and Franky facing against some sort of big spider on a bridge.

But then, several of the zombies blocked her way.

“Don't even think about leaving” One of the armored zombies said.

“Get her!” They yelled.

A dozen normal zombies came running to her.

“This may be a good chance to practice that move.” Said Vivi.

“Water blade” She made a cutting motion with her hand and sent a thin wave of high-pressure water to cut the heads of several of the zombies that approached her.

The other ones stopped in their tracks and stared at Vivi with fear.

“W-w-wait!, let's talk about this!” One zombie said.

Vivi closed the gap with soru.

“Water blade!” More heads rolled over until there was only one left.

“Don't kill me!” The zombie begged.

Vivi made a confused expression.

“Aren't you guys already dead? You have only been temporarily reanimated by Moria's ability. Im just sending you back to rest.”

“Well, if you put it like that…” She sent another blade at him. “Ahh but!”

The zombie didn't have time to finish his sentence.

The biggest one of the armored zombies jump on her and tried to crush her with his big sword.

“Ghaa!!!”

Vivi had seen the attack coming from a mile away and easily moved out of the way.

She gave a glance around. There were seven armored zombies in total and at least a dozen more zombies on top of that.

She felt someone attack from behind and jumped up.

A sword quickly passes through the spot she had just left.

The zombie that just attacked looked very peculiar. He had a peacock hat, a hip t-shit, no pants, three swords, and a Hitler mustache.

“The fuck are you?!” Shouted Vivi.

“A scar on the back is a shame for a warrior!.” The zombie said. “Then again…I am full of scars!”

Vivi sighed. “Was that supposed to be a…wait a minute!. That's Zoro's shadow. How did he lose it soo quickly?”

“I am Jigoroh!” Zoros shadow said.

More zombies were charging at her while Jigoroh prepared to attack too.

“This is too much work for me alone…” She split herself in two and created a clone.

“Go distract those guys while I take care of this idiot!” Small Vivi pointed at the swordsman and the clone nodded.

‘Why am I talking to the clone?... I'm the one controlling it!.’

The clone started throwing water blades and cutting zombie heads left and right while little Vivi faced the swordsman.

“Who are you, child? Where did that woman go?” The swordsman demanded to know.

“It's me, you moron!” Shouted little Vivi.

Jigoroh was taken aback. “But that's!...no…I cannot fight a child!. I refuse!”

“Eh?” While Vivi was confused, the swordsman took one of his swords and pierced his belly with it.

“I chose death!” He shouted.

“You are already dead…” Vivi sighed.

Jiroboh then scratched his head while having a sword piercing his body.

“Oh!, that's right…this won't kill me.”

“Let me help you out!” Vivi used soru and got to his side. “Water blade!” Without resistance, the swordman's head went flying.

“I guess, he must have been a very nice guy when he was alive…rest in piece” She offered a short prayer as Zoros's shadow left its corpse and traveled back to its owner.

The clone had put down most of the normal zombies but it was having trouble with the armored ones. The water blade is not strong enough to cut through armor yet.

“Then, let us remove the helmets first.” Vivi moved towards the biggest one of the bunch.

“Blast!” The high-pressure water hit him right in the head and made the helmet fly away. She then sent the signal to the clone and this one took the chance to cut the zombie's head.

“Six more, let's go!”

—----------------------------------------------------

“Vivi!”

She heard the voice of Robin calling to her as the last zombie fell down.

“Vivi?” Robin said again, this time, sounding a bit confused as she saw two small Vivis turning to look at her.

“Hey. How did it go with the spider?” She asked.

“We beat it. Well, it was actually the musician…why are there two of you? and why are you so small?” Robin keeps looking from one Vivi to the other one.

“Oh, that's my clone.” Vivi looked at the clone. “Come back” The clone jumped on her and the two fused together again, allowing Vivi to recover her normal size.

“That's an interesting ability.” Commented Robin.

“Oi! Vivi, Robin!.” Franky called from the bridge.

“We lost Sanji and Zoro…as for the Captain” Said Robin while they were walking.

“I know, the zombies told me that they managed to capture him and send him to Moria.” Said Vivi.

“You know about Moria too…but yes. We should try to find him.” Said Robin.

They left the exit and entered the bridge, where Franky and Brook were waiting.

“Vivi, I'm glad to see you okay!” Said Franky. “But..where are Nami, Usurp, and Chopper? did you not find them?”

“I did. But we got separated after we encounter a very strong zombie samurai.” Said Vivi.

“A samurai!” That earned the full attention of Brook.

“Where is He? I need to find him.”

“You haven't noticed, uh?.” Vivi looked down at Brook's feet, it was a bit dark but his shadow was visible.

Brook followed Vivi's gaze and looked down.“ What!” He shouted in shock.

“You have a shadow again!” Said Franky.

“That means…” Robin looked at Vivi, and the just noticed that she was carrying a samurai sword on her back.

“You defeated that man?” It was Brook the one who asked.

Vivi looked a bit apologetic. “I know you wanted to be the one who did it. But…if I have a chance to help one of my crewmates, I will not waste it!.”

She thought that Brook was going to be angry at her for taking away his chance of redemption or something like that. But instead, Brook hugged her.

“Thank you!” He said. “I don't know what can I do to repay you for this!.”

Vivi was caught by surprise since she did not expect that reaction, but still accepted his thanks and gave him a pat on the back.
