Chapter 67: Securing a vessel

“Right…” She rather not think about that time.

‘Even though I just did the same thing without really thinking about it…it just felt right…’

“Anyways, I have one of those keys. What number are those handcuffs?”

Robin looked them up. “Five.”

Vivi looked at her key. “Seven… never mind.” She threw the key out.

“We should just wait for those guys, I'm sure they will bring the rest of the keys.”

“We can't wait here for long, Spandam activated the Buster Call!” Robin exclaimed.

Vivi looked at her. “Yes…we all heard about that. But w-”

“Oh no!!, look what they did to Chief Spandam!” Loud voices started to come from the other side of the bridge.

“It was that pirate with blue hair!”

“Gates of Justice guards! In the name of justice, we will kill the pirate and retrieve the prisoner.”

A big group of marines came charging through the bride.

Vivi looked at them with a raised eyebrow. “Really?...what do they think they can do?”

The marines stopped a good distance away and pointed their rifles at Vivi.

“Remember, shoot only the blue hair one, don't kill the prisoner!.”

“I have a name, you know?” Complained Vivi.

“Shoot!” The marine in charge commanded.

She didn't have to worry about protecting Robin since the fire was focused on her, so she let the bullets go through her and rose both her arms, she then extended her finger, pointing at the group of marines.

The shooting stopped, leaving the marines very confused about why she was still alive.

“My turn….Gattling!” A barrage of water bullets was fired against the marines.

“Ahhg!”

“Nooo!” 

One after another, they all started to go down. The few that were left standing were soon taken down by something that set them on fire.

Vivi turned around to look where those last bullets came from and found Usopp standing on top of the Judicial Tower.

“Usopp!” Cried Robin, happy to see her friend trying to help her.

Franky then came running from the tunnel and stood in front of Robin.

“Franky, Vivi!” The voice of Usopp was amplified with a den-den-mushi and they could hear him all the way to the bridge.

“Look at the red cloth bundle I left next to you guys!”

Vivi looked around and quickly found it. She went and picked it up.

“Inside there are all of the keys we have collected!. Use them!” Yelled Usopp.

“Got it. Franky give us some cover. More marines are coming.” Said Vivi.

“Leave it to me” Exclaimed Franky.

“Let's see…number five…ahh, there it is” Vivi took the correct key from the bundle and opened Robin's cuffs.

Robin let out a sound of relief as the sea-stone no longer contained her.

“This is soo much better, thank you!”

“We need to leave, the warships should be-” Vivi was cut off by a loud explosion nearby.

“What was that?!” Asked Franky.

“They destroyed the outer fence with cannons. The warships are already here.” Vivi pointed out.

Robin gasped and her face went pale. 

“Robin, keep it together!. Is not going to happen again. We are going to make it out of this one!, you hear me?!” Vivi placed a hand on Robins's shoulder.

Robin nodded softly.

“We could go steal that ship” Franky pointed out at the ship that was waiting on the other side of the bridge. The one that was brought to take Robin through the Gates of Justice.

“There should be someone strong guarding that ship. And probably a lot more marines..but it may be our best chance thought.” Robin agreed with Franky's plan.

“That won't work.” Vivi was already sensing a crazy amount of people going that way, a few of them were even stronger than the CP9 members.

“Look!” 

As soon as she said it, a group of five warships appeared out of the fog.

They gasped. “Are they all coming this way?” Asked Robin.

“No!, they are trying to surround the island!.” Franky pointed out.

They heard an explosion behind them. There were people yelling and shooting everywhere. The place was in absolute chaos.

“All of the warships have moved out. Let's go!” Said Robin.

After going through the rest of the marines guarding it. Franky, Robin, and Vivi took over the enemy ship.

“Sorry, marines. Well, use your ship for our escape!” Mocked Franky.

“Now that the place is clean, all we have to do is wait for the Strawhats to arrive.”

“Yes…I wonder where they are.” Said Robin with worry.

Vivi felt several familiar presences approaching from…beneath.

She went to the ship rail and looked.

“There is something emerging from the water!”

“Gyaaa!” With a loud scream. Kokoro appeared from underwater while carrying the missing members of their crew.

They all lay on the deck of the ship, barely moving.

“Looks like they went through a lot…” Said Robin.

“I bet they experience some severe shock,” Franky concluded.

“I wonder what caused them such a shock.” Commented Kokoro.

Vivi gave the old mermaid a glance.

“That was you!” Exclaimed Franky.

Kokoro ignored him and looked at Robin.

“It's you, right? the friend they were all desperate to save. I remember you from the station.”

Kokoro adjusted her trousers, her feet still looked like fins. Her jacket was open and her breasts were only covered with some small sea shells.

“I didn't imagine you guys would cause all this mess”

“Get dressed already!” Yelled Franky.

Kokoro ignored him and continued.

“Back then, when He told me He was going to be the Pirate King, I wanted to laugh, but…maybe it will come true after all.”
