This movie had me gasping for air multiple times... what a wild ride! I loved this movie so much!!! Katniss and Peeta were really holding it down in the end and stood on business. But that ending had me SHOOK! I can't wait to see what happens after learning District 12 is just... no more.

In the book, as soon as the Quater Quell is announced, Peeta gets rid off Haymitch's liquor and forced the three of them to train like Careers before the games begin. He goes into traning mode and Katniss is so frustrated with him because he stops showing her affection. Here's a nice quote : “When Peeta holds out his arms, I walk straight into them. It's the first time since they announced the Quarter Quell that he's offered me any sort of affection. He's been more like a very demanding trainer, always pushing, always insisting Haymitch and I run faster, eat more, know our enemy better. Lovers? Forget about that. He abandoned any pretense of even being my friend. I wrap my arms tightly around his neck before he can order me to do push-ups or something. Instead he pulls me in close and buries his face in my hair. Warmth radiates from the spot where his lips just touch my neck, slowly spreading through the rest of me. It feels so good, so impossibly good, that I know I will not be the first to let go. And why should I?”

In the book, at the end, Katniss attacks Haymith's eyes with her fingernails : "To punish Haymitch, who, of all the people in this rotting world, has turned Peeta and me into pieces in his Games. I trusted him. I put what was precious in Haymitch's hands. And he has betrayed me."
