this episode gets me everytime. Maes Hughes death is the saddest death in anime to me. Such a lovable character from the beginning. Great dad, husband, and person in general. Its messed up that the last thing he saw was "his wife" one of the persons he loved the most. shooting him. His death In the original FMA hits even harder because he gets more on screen time. They show more of his love for his family and friends. And when Mustang said "its a terrible day for rain" its cause he feels useless around water. There was nothing he could do to save his friend.
