After all, she is just a 17-year-old girl trying her best to live up to her dream. Akane is the type of person who tries the hardest and cares too much to be good and nice. From her mom's reaction, we can see that she has no prior exposure to showbiz and has no idea that being in the entertainment industry means much much more than simply being good at acting or singing, or dancing. She cares about her manager, her mom, her name, and the show she's in, and not actually hurting her friend. Akane cares too much and knows too little. She is like a bullied kid who can't find a way out or someone to help her except her "school" is the whole internet. A better agency would train her beforehand like PR training, or at least take her phone away, but they didn't do that because they are probably not a good agency. Her mom couldn't understand what was happening so as a teenage girl she wouldn't bear to burden her mom with this mess. It doesn't seem like she is in the same school as Aqua and Ruby, so it's probably a normal school where her classmates are unfamiliar with showbiz (they said she always has work and most entertainer has work so if they are one they would understand). No one around her could understand her or give her help, and she doesn't want to put pressure on other people. Another thing is that people are fast to blame a female for their fault (or accuse them of radome things). The most malicious thing they can think of to shame a young woman is calling her a slut, and that name is so hard to clear.
