If I was Sydney I would've walked out from the restaurant a while ago. How dare Carmy decide two weeks (turned 10 days) before opening to talk to Sydney about menu changes when since episode 3 he's constantly been shown not answering his phone, spending time he doesn't have to waste with Claire while Sydney is shown working tirelessly alone with zero support from him. Carmy deserves to be happy, but not only is the restaurant the dream he had with Michael for years, but he's allowing Sydney, Nat, Richie (from this episode), Marcus, Tina, Fak, Gary- to give their all while he's not. If he wants to be happy with Claire that's fine, but if he can't do right by the restaurant he's best letting Cicero buy the place. It's like if he does one thing he can't do another. I feel incredibly terrible for Sydney since she has an almost unshakable trust in Carmy and has been building up his dream restaurant, yet he keeps not showing up and this is chipping away at her confidence... Can't wait to see your reactions to the last two episodes!

Forgot to mention Carmy did have the connections to send Marcus and Richie places where they could grow and has offered encouragement, but he has been unfocused in a time they have a tight deadline that he set. They have less than two years to pay Cicero back or they're done, I'm sure Carmy could find time for Claire that doesn't interfere with the much needed attention he needs for The Bear.
