I picked up a wooden crate to help separate out my TF/meta themed independent comics and I already ran out of room!

Right now I've only excised Marvel and DC from this collection (as well as imprints like Vertigo), but I still need to make more room.

What more should I take out? Image? Dark Horse? Dynamite? Zenescope? Or should I just refine my definition here to single book publishers and publishers who have gone out of business? Let me know how you think it should be organized, and I'll start sharing what's there!

Also, doing this let me find my FAVORITE indie comic, a three issue series about a woman was turned into a living iron maiden!

Yep! I actually came VERY close to getting a licensing and reprinting deal with the creator (under a different title) a few years ago. Very nice guy, things just didn't work out at the end. Was just so happy to flip through it again, I love Issue #3.

I'd probably get rid of Dark Horse and Image as being virtually as mainstream as Marvel and DC. If that doesn't give you enough room, I guess I'd go in decreasing order of something like estimated corporate revenue in the 1990s or something like that. So, head down from Archie through Viz and such, but leave the little guys alone. :-)

Yeah, I think that is the route I will go. Also, series like TAROT: WITCH OF THE BLACK ROSE I may separate out to be with the trade paperbacks.

You could also, I suppose, get a second crate. :)

Haha, true, but another won't fit next to this one. But I am picking up another today to put in another spot to begin better storing the Marvel comics to get that pile to the right out of the way.
