Because of recent tech issues with Patreon, and a complete mess of how they track the monthly fundraising, I am considering switching to the Up Front Charge Method to streamline and better predict the monthly income.

Basically, it should help eliminate some of the "should I or shouldn't I commit?" uncertainty to starting new projects, such as the One Dollar Billy comic we are always SO close to reaching.

Before I do that I wanted to check in with the Patrons. Existing regularly monthly donors won't see any changes. It would only effect new Patrons, regarding when they are first billed and then rebilled.

I've tried to remain with the current set-up to allow for sampling - everyone's tastes for TF are different and I wanted to make sure people had a feel for my style before committing. But the current process is keeping me from being able to commit to new projects, and I feel that is the greater loss for my dedicated patrons. I will just strive to make sure the introductory page is clear about what is contained within.

But I didn't want to make that change without first allowing for an open feedback forum, so please let me know your thoughts below!

I don't see anything wrong with changing to upfront charges. It keeps ppl from syphoning content by just subscribing briefly and cancelling before month's end. And to provide samples you could just make some older stuff available for free.
