So, this week several interesting things happened.

  • After 13 months of writing, I finished Letter of the Law. Feels good. Patrons will see that Monday, and the general public will see it in ten weeks, but it's officially done. So, feedback on this is welcome. I will let it rest and then start editing in a couple months for an eventual release as a completed novel sometime next year. It wil be a pretty heavy edit. I expect to remove at least 20k words.
  • I finished the ghost-writing project I mentioned the other week. 25k words over three weeks to help someone complete their novel. It was a fun experience, but I don't think I'll be doing a lot of it. Writing in someone else's world is very... restrictive.
  • I've decided to self-publish my sci-fi novel. Until now I'd been submitting it to publishers and waiting patiently for it to get rejected, but the last one I was going to send it to (Baen) wants over a year to decide to tell me no thanks. So, I'm just going to put it out there and see what happens. I will make an announcement when it's up for pre-order, but I am doing another round of editing before I hand it off to the line editor, I've hired to polish it. So, that's exciting.
  • Finally, I thought some of you might like my most recent short. It's Tenebroum, but in the modern world.

Have a great week! Thanks for reading!

Rain

This is a really good story!!!!!

I'm glad you like it. I'm submitting it to an anthology on Betrayal, so we will find out if they accept it in a month or two. But I think it would make a pretty good movie if I expanded out the characters a little.
