Gnollplaying Games! Gnollplaying Games! Gnollplaying Games! (Patreon)
Content
Sorry, I'm being a bit loud about this because it's famously hard to communicate information to an audience lol.
["wait, you're a furry?" comments still happening in year of our lord 2023]
So anyway, the first episode of Cape Escape went up yesterday on the new Gnollplaying Games channel. If you missed it the first time, this is a great chance to get it all served into your subscriptions again over the next seven weeks!
Even if you've seen it before, there are still several reasons to subscribe:
-You can watch it again with the benefit of foresight, letting you catch all the bits of foreshadowing (there's way more than a TTRPG has any right to have) and where the seeds of character arcs formed.
-On top of the two weekly videos we had last time, I'm also going to make a new show called Idle Banter that consists of all the off-topic chatter and extended post-game discussions that I cut out of the main show each week for the sake of pacing. Bonus content that makes more sense on a dedicated channel.
-This is the channel where all future TTRPG content will go, including our next show, Deadlaws.
I'm being noisy about this because if the channel performs well early on it could really take off. A lot of people enjoyed the show, so it'd be a bummer if it was algorithmically dead on the vine! Youtube is stressful lol.
Speaking of Deadlaws, we just did our Session 0 (or our first one), which for those of you not familiar with TTRPGs, is basically a meetup with no gameplay where we discuss the setting, the characters we want to play, and start picking out skills and stats etc. You can go watch it now on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/posts/deadlaws-session-90004567
The Gnollplaying Games patreon also has a short story about Sandals that takes place after Cape Escape, but before whatever story will happen next with him. The idea is to alternate storylines, instead of coming back to the Cape Escape crew every season, so you'll probably see post-timeskip Jet, Sandals, and whoever else is still around in the next show, after Deadlaws!
Making a Patreon for the TTRPG channel was important because there's a lot of art commissions involved in that kind of production. Kah did all of Cape Escape out of pocket, which was a wild surprise, but if we want this to be a regular thing (and I think we all do) we're gonna have to help him out!
