I definitely didn't cheat or anything.

Yeeeaaaaah, I got in line for a Valve Index earlier this year and received the notification that I'm next about a week ago. I chose not to let the opportunity pass.

So thank you for your continued support, even if we didn't quite reach the goal.  Look forward to finally getting coverage of some of those VR-exclusives in the coming weeks.  This should make up for the lack of a PS5 for now.

hehe, neato one veeeeery long-term goal I could think of would be enough money to afford a subtitling service like Tom Scott mentioned https://twitter.com/tomscott/status/1326562442994970624 . may not seem realistic in the short term, but at least it would solve the problem of not having a goal for a good long while ^^

Average total video duration on M/Tu/Th/F/Sa: 2.5h/150m Average total video duration on W/Su: 5h/300m Average total weekly video duration: (150x5)+(300x2)=750+600=1350 Four weeks of minutes (still technically less than a month): 5400 So more than $5400-10,800 per month. It's easy for someone like Tom that just makes one short video per week on a very successful channel, but for channels with volume it's prohibitively expensive. There's no goal I can promise where this price could be paid by Patreon, let alone meaningfully support me in addition to that price being paid.

Indeed. I did the mental math beforehand, I knew it's 'a bit' ridiculous. It's not a realistic goal for a channel of your size* and with your output, but it is a goal, so nobody get's the impression that you've already hit all your milestones. I'm sure there's better potential goals I can't think of atm, and I hope you find one. But as a placeholder this might make a couple people aware of the issue of subtitles, if nothing else. And hey, one thing (among many) I've always liked about your content is that if a game has subtitles as an option, you reliably make sure they're enabled. May seem like a small thing, but not everyone does it, and it makes a world of difference for my auditory processing, much appreciated *Tom aimed his rant squarely at really big, popular channels that could easily afford it.

I highly recommend Half-Life: Alyx. It's the best VR experience i had so far.

I’m stoked about it and the episodes so far have been great
