Just a heads up, you might be charged a slightly different amount starting this month.  I can't give a lot more information because the whole process is both global and opaque, but a variety of locations have passed tax laws over the last few years and they're going to impact Patreon starting now.  So in the United States your mileage may vary depending on the specific tax polices of your local area.  I've filled out information that attempts to quantify what the "benefits" people get for supporting me even are.  I assume this means that people who pledge for "No Reward" aren't going to deal with taxes, since they're not getting anything?  But I can't really say for sure.  I can't say for sure how this will impact any one specific area, let alone the sheer number of places that you're all from.  Other countries around the world will also be affected, but it's not clear which ones or how much.  Every region might interpret and tax the benefits of this Patreon differently.

Thanks for the forewarning. Things are weird now so I was thinking something would happen along those lines anyways.

For reference: As part of the covid stimulus package for the next 6 months germany has reduced sales/turnover tax ("Umsatzsteuer") from 19% down to 16%. I suspect this is part of what this refers to.
