Yeah, this one got a bit out of hand and basically became a podcast about one question.  I felt bad, so I ended up recording for three hours overall.  Expect a part 2 in a day or two where I actually answer more than one question!

Questions from Patreon Part 1 - The Work Ethic Podcast

You can send in questions by messaging my on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/SebastianSB/ 7:24 Dannish: What is best in life? 7:37 Jesse Miller: Question: Do you believe work ethic is a natural thing or a learned behavior? How did you come to have such a strong work ethic? Any suggestions for those who struggle with it? Idea 1: new patreon stretch goal. $2k (or whatever helps stability) = 2x patreon sponsored shows (you said it gets a lot of views anyway, why not capitalize on it 2 fold!) Idea 2: Manga corner - show off your collection of Manga and show/describe how it affected you. Thanks for everything man! You rock!

Some thoughts to your early responses: Work actually is natural in some kind of way. Or at least doing something productive is natural. There are studies that show that depression is a LOT more common in people that don't have work, even in countries were they are fully supported by government programs. And concerning the marathon running, I read that one of our most advantageous biological attributes for that is our absence of fur and our ability to sweat through the whole body. Most animals have a lot harder time to keep their body cool through continuous physical activity. And even when they manage to keep cool, their processes for achieving that tend to by a lot more dehydrating than ours.

Because I feel like confusing you further about how different places call different things, my country/language calls what Americans would college/university 'high school' (we also use the words 'college' and 'uni', but 'high school' is a term used to refer to higher education in general), 'middle school' is actually what you'd call high school, and the bit before that and elementary are referred to as what loosely translates to 'basic school' so it's basically the other way around. 'Elementary' is the only word that matches. Text wall comments ftw.
