Been a while!

In other posts I talked about how the Patreon Chosen Game might work in the future. Previously, we had a dedicated timeslot for this, and would vote on a new game as the previous one finished, cycling forever. But in the new schedule I've culled the timeslots as much as possible so that the channel is less confusing, while also allowing us to progress through games more quickly.

So where does the Patreon game go? I thought we might be done with it, honestly. But more recently I had the idea that we could try picking a game quarterly? So we'll hold a vote sometime in Jan-Mar, then again in Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep, and Oct-Dec. This might sound kinda spaced out, but we only had like two votes in 2023 anyway. In fact, the current Patreon game is still ongoing: Baldur's Gate 3.

But I'm gonna ignore that. I just finished recording Dragon's Dogma 2, so I might as well give this new system a go next. Let's pick a game!

Let's remind people how this works, and explain it to those who haven't done it before. First I make a post that is only accessible to the Nomination tier of supporters ($15). They have the ability to nominate any game they want to, barring anything that's impossible to let's play, impossible to put on YouTube, or other strange edge cases that frankly never come up. A few days later I take that list of nominations, create a poll, and then everyone else (down to $1 supporters) all gets to vote on those games! Simple. Just check your emails, and be in the tier you want to be.

Speaking of which, the nomination process has already begun! You can find the post over here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/patreon-chosen-102112281

When will the game air publicly? Not sure, exactly. I have a big backlog. But it'll be available to Early Access supporters soon! I am going on a trip from the 16th-20th, so that might delay things a bit.

Wasn't your patreon slot consistently your most viewed too? Seems strange to even consider getting rid of it. But whatever, glad it's not gone.

Upgraded just for this, though sadly I might have to downgrade because I'm a poor university student. But it's not as often a patreon poll has a game I'm passionate about, so I figure I better nominate one myself.

Years ago. New Vegas and BG3 have been the worst viewed shows on the channel, and even before that the votes started to miss the mark.
