This weekend I've decided to revive the old restaurant minigame to fix it's shortcoming and use my own art for the characters this time.
The aim is fixing the movement issue that the character couldn't stop, add input system that's compatible with touch devices, adding a key to pick up and put down dishes, remove the clunky timer system, Implement a framerate independent animation, and block based collision if possible.
I've managed to draw my own character base with some clothing layers, He walks like a club bouncer, but will do for the time being.

The drawing was rough, but the code have gone surprisingly smooth so far. You can try the movement system, and animation.
I don't have a 120fps monitor to test it, but in theory, the character should walk the same speed on both 60fps and 120fps. Let me know if you have a capable monitor and can test that theory.

The files are in the attachments, alongside with the separated sprite sheet.
