The robot at the end was the robot Kayaba inhabited that went missing, laying at the bottom of the ocean floor, with his hand on the server lines. That's how he sent the IP address to Alice. I assume as well that the fluctlight at the end was him, leaving the robot, foreshadowing that he'll continue to survive. I don't think much time has passed in the real world since the incident, less than month. Also... Kirito hasn't shown any romantic feelings for Alice. I agree with what Chris said initially, it's been very platonic, he recognizes her importance to the world, but also genuinely cares about her and her wellbeing, as a friend, that's it. I think he's aware of her feelings for him, but I'm not so sure it's the best move to address it directly. She's an AI who can print things by looking at a printer. If she were a normal person, shut it down, but maybe take things a little slower with an AI being, lol. I think the things she said when she fell on top of him were important, that being able to remain who she is, she recognizes that she can survive in the real world, and carry out her new purpose.
