The reaction says ep 5-8 on title but it's only ep 5 should correct it

Just in case you guys didn't see it the first time I'm just gonna say it again here. You guys HAVE to watch the Re:Zero movie called "Frozen Bonds" after episode 13 for this season. This season of Re:Zero will heavily focus on a certain character throughout the eternity of S2 and the movie adds more context & fleshes out said character even more to better understand and appreciate the character in this season. The movie itself is only 1 hour & 16 minutes so its not that long.

It’s always difficult talking about the show. We must avoid spoilers/ hints. It’s like AOT; when they go outside with Erwin to trap the female titan. “Why doesn’t Erwin tell us. The plan?” Unfortunately Re: zero never explicitly explains things. It leaves the puzzle pieces & moves on. Ex: season 1- ep 15. Subaru comes back, and rem says “the smell is worse.” It would be cool if Re:zero had a half time card saying. “It seems the more times I die, the worse I smell.” Hence why every loop, Garfield seems to like Subaru less. Ex 2: Why did the villagers save Subaru? That makes no sense. ……. Who saved the 6 kids when they were kidnapped by the mabeasts in season 1? Subaru & rem. But rem’s existence was wiped by the archbishop of gluttony…. Who went inside the forest , killed 20 demon dogs & carried 6 villagers children into safety…. Only Subaru (rem doesn’t exist). Even though your critical, the discussions are gooood. (Something interesting : when echidna talked to Subaru in a school girl uniform….. echidna, the witch of greed, who proclaims she “wants to know everything.”…. If she knew to dress in a school girl uniform, that means she’s been inside Subarus mind. … why didn’t echidna freak out? “Yo Subaru when I was looking in your memories I saw some shhhiiit, wtf are cars, guns & the internet!” Something about that… is sus. This is not a confirmation/ denial of anything. I just thought it was interesting choice made…

I mean anime skipped it, but the LNs have already relatively early volumes implied there have been & are other isekai'd ppl besides Subaru, so someone obsessed w/ knowledge like Echidna would obviously know about this, so it wouldn't rly come as a surprise to her. Especially since she has been watching his entire journey, so she should know that he just spawned to this world out of fucking nowhere and all that

I feel like there is a lot of info dumps but the revelations will be worth it and once it finishes it will all come together. With this season the dialouge is overwhelming but most of it is still valuable. Just very boring sometimes. Also love the new 5-8 links. The next batch should be more interesting.

This show really is a slow burn, but the pay off is usually worth it. Without saying any spoilers I feel like the first 12 ep are pretty slow, but just like in season one with the last few eps, the last 12 eps of this season are pretty quick. Just an FYI season 1 and 2 have been fully dubbed for a while now I think. I’m not sure if you guys decided to do sub because of commentary, but I really recommend the dub if you feel like it’s more of a “book” per say than an actual show; which it is (based off of LN). The Dub is almost as good as the dub and may surpass it in some moments of the show. Just wanted to give a quick recommendation if you guys aren’t too invested with the VA’s yet. Overall I really enjoy you guys giving honest reactions to shows that people enjoy, despite the risk of negativity. Keep up the good work 👍. One more thing, there was a problem with the animation studio and the amount of workers for the second part of season two because of COVID. Don’t want to spoil but some scenes might be more noticeable than others and wanted to give an explanation beforehand. Thank you for your time
