Cool stuff! didnt relate to Chris's frustration with Zuko but I can definitely see it.

Zuko is still trying to figure out who he is. That has been his struggle. Uncle Iroh said it himself in Ba Sing Se, he needs to start asking himself the big questions, who he is and what does he want. Zuko still clings to the idea of him returning with what he thinks is his honor. He still wants to be with his family and be accepted, even if his family is fucked up. Him constantly doing 180s is his inner struggle trying to find what he wants and who he really is. He has no sense of self identity. This is why he is always switching and doesn’t stay the same. Zuko doesn’t have an identity that is his. Also Mei and Zukos relationship was hinted at in the flashbacks and in some dialogue between the 3 girls, so I don’t blame you guys for seeing it as out of the blue. I think you guys will really enjoy the character development for everyone this season.

Guys aang was only out for a few weeks it’s hasn’t been that long. The beginning of the show started in the fall and they’re entering into summer now so this whole show takes place within a couple months

I don’t know why people have been commenting and defending Zuko from you guys. Like you said he is completely volatile and prone to making mistakes on a whim which is incredibly frustrating. You guys totally get his character. The problem comes with the unfortunate push and pull from the audience who has seen all of avatar and you guys who are watching it for the first time. You are supposed to be annoyed with zuko. You are supposed to be annoyed with how obsessed he is and how he went back on all he’d learned. And you are supposed to not like it. People see you guys reacting to that like the show wants you to and are misplacing their full understanding of the character from watching the whole show. So don’t feel obligated to defend your opinions on zuko. But also just recognize this is on purpose that you feel this way. The show is clearly not trying to get you to root for zukos choices. And that distinction is the difference between good writing and bad writing. So don’t feel obligated to like zuko. Just let the story tell itself and we’ll see how it turns out. Obviously the show is already guiding you properly, as evident by how you feel about zuko. Take care guys.

I like zuko’s character no matter what,if he’s a bad guy that’s cool if he’s good that’s cool either way I will always like his character. Even when I watched the show for the first time years ago I didn’t get annoyed at him or hated all he did.
