Yea this ep is really a taste of the fights to come and don’t know if someone mentioned this yet but all the fight choreography is almost directly replicated from IRL martial art styles based on the element

If you go back to episode 1 & 2 they mention how the southern tribe was much larger and more flourishing but the fire nation destroyed it. The north was bigger still of course but the southern was was more than it is now. The north fought the fire nation away and the south lost leaving them little huts behind
