Fun fact: my hero is made by same studio as mob psycho and Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood. Thats why the action is clean plus that alchemy reference Chris pointed was spot on

Mirio was the perfect match for Overhaul in this fight beacuse He can't touch him at all so it's understandable why he acted like a "little bitch" just like Chris said it. His companion was smart and he aim for Eri and that's how you handle this situation.

Fun Fact (no spoiler): the reason there were stop-motion pics instead of animation in the last part of the fight was because after they show Mirio first fight back after losing his quirk in the manga it immediately transitions into word-only panels and they say, "Fifteen minutes since Mirio arrived on the scene... five minutes since he was shot with the quirk-eliminating round. Even with that overwhelming disadvantage... fighting two-on-one... quirkless for a full third of the battle, he fought-", the panel showing him being pierced by the spikes while shielding Eri comes up, "NO. Don't worry about the desync with the dub/sub, it'll only last a few weeks.. The sub is gonna have a 1 week vacation sometime in January. That's when the dub & sub will be synced back up.

To answer the question why the confession guys quirk didn't work when he asked twice & vampire girl about there boss betraying them is cuz it's one of the few times that their boss played it smart cuz their boss didn't mention it cuz if he did then the power would have took an effect & they will spilled the beans on the whole plan of them betraying them when he asked . Shigaraki was being very cautious and to be honest you can't really blame anyone as super-powered Society for being like that cuz in a world full of superpowers you got play it safe got to be as cautious as possible both the heroes and villains cuz you have no idea what kind of power the enemy might have to use against you to extract information some powers are more combat versatile some can travel very well and others are more detailed for seeing through things or getting information you really got think about how these Powers work and play it safe be as cautious as possible to know the true limitations how far you can go with these Powers the possibilities could be possibly endless depending on what kind of power that is you have to know the exact details as to how a power works so you can know how far someone can go with it .
