Fun fact, those red spikes that impaled Muzan is from the demon art of the guy who Muzan turned to a demon when Tanjiro first encountered him. So the guy got revenge 🤣

I took that smoke/fog at the beginning as a thick barrier to keep regular demons out, Wisteria Incense or whatever it was that was protecting that orphanage from the previous episodes, it had a similar look but on a smaller scale. That's probably another reason why they didn't have/need guards, Wisteria keeping regular demons out & only lets Muzan pass, which they planned on nuking anyway. Sidenote: what's with Anime this season blowing up their main antagonist with a giant explosion only for them to barely live? First Shigaraki, now Muzan? Who is next? lmao
