I was sceptical if i could like this Donghua, cause it looked like Sci-Fi, but after i started it about 5 Days ago, I got so hooked on this that i watched about 10-15 Episodes each day. I can only say that I'm so disappointed about myself, that i didn't give it a try earlier. This Donghua is awesome and if there are others like me who think nah that's not my genre, just give it a try!

Somehow the first episode put me off, but will give it a retry on this recommendation. Problem with sci-fi stuff is that one's science brain turns on.

I didn't start on it for a long time either due to some of the same misconceptions on the Sci-Fi part of it. But now its one of my favorites and I even picked up the novel after I started.

I've seen more than 31k episodes of anime and donghua in roughly 1800+ series, movies, ovas, onas, etc. It's really much more than that, because I haven't updated my MAL in about a year. I'mlike a black hole for anime & donghua. I watch everything, because if I'd allowed myself to be blindly restricted about what I'll watch, there are SO MANY GREAT shows I would not have seen. I go by the 3 episode rule - well, first I look at the synopsis, if I still have questions, I look at the comments and reviews, but once I decide to try a show, always watch through till the 3rd episode, occasionally it is the 4th episode. What you're waiting to see is the conflict portion of the story. Invariably, they spend 2 episodes introducing people and the world and how things basically work, sometimes only one, but sometime in the first four episodes of any show, an event will happen that will tell you what the characters will be striving toward. If you don't wait for it, you can end up missing out.

Yeah, for some reason I'm having trouble with wuxiaworld app, it will only show me teasers of the chapters, I was trying to sign up, but they use karma coins, one of the worst possible payment systems on the internet, period. Maybe I'll try looking on reddit, or possibly web novel app. If only wuxiaworld had a normal membership system I would give them my money, but they're trying too hard to be different or something, so poop on them.

Swallowed Star is currently not on WuxiaWorld but Webnovel and they will bleed you to read anything. Even though the novel is fully translated Webnovel doesn't offer the option to purchase it in ebook format outright.
