This is it? Are they releasing any more right away? S3? S1 was 26 episodes, but S2 was only 22.

They sped through the 2nd half of the season. It was a total fast forward through the plot. Seems like they found out they're not getting enough seasons and decided they'd cram as much as possible into they could get. Which honestly is just a terrible approach. I hate it when studios do that.
