FYI: This post is longer than I expected! Just some thoughts from this week.

For those wondering, as I had some people ask me if I've stopped doing film reactions, I've not and I will be watching more films this week. I promise. In fact, I'm planning on hopefully starting to film some tomorrow!

My plan was (and is) that every day that I get some free time I would be watching 1 or maybe 2 films (depending on length and free time available), but with each film reaction's filming time being 3-4 hours, it's difficult finding the time sometimes.

I've had it on the back burner for a little bit this past week due to needing to edit existing videos, life getting in the way in general and the London billboard meetup. I needed to pre-prepare and now edit that footage together. Hence why although you've seen daily posts from me, they have been mainly Trailer reactions and a few episodes of shows, with not as many actual film reactions. This was because I had wanted to bring you something rather than nothing and seeing as they are shorter to edit together, would help to bridge that very short time between normal posts. Hence them being daily. I do have more films planned to watch and some things filmed already though, so stay tuned.

In regards to those Trailer reactions, I don't think many people have been interested in them. Obviously at the moment there was a few I'd wanted to watch, hence being a lot of them. In the future these will be very rare, if at all. I could be wrong, as I know some people have liked them.

I've been thinking of possibly stopping the trailers altogether, as I'd initially thought they would be great extras alongside normal videos. However, they may harm the channel more than anything, as they are incredibly short in comparison to normal videos and it will likely mess with the algorithm.

Whilst I'm not in it for the views and those videos take barely any time in comparison to normal videos, that time could be spent watching a film or editing etc. That's not to say I'm giving up yet, as they're a great extra to hear my thoughts on films coming out and not just ones that have been out for many years. I'm planning on interspersing the existing Trailer reactions into the channel over the coming weeks for now and we'll see how we go.

One thing I have come across since doing said Trailer reactions though, is a lot more copyright claims. Whilst some can be cleared up as "fair use", most cannot and it leaves the channel open for the copyright holders to ask for videos to be removed and the channel being given a strike. That's worst case scenario, I know. I'm just always extremely careful with managing copyright and fixing anything that flags.

The reason for an influx of Trailer reactions on here (which I have yet to post to YouTube) was there was quite a few that had come out that interested me at the time. I can't even switch them to be "YouTube shorts" only, as those can only be 60 seconds.

As for current videos, I'm working on "The Time Travelers" reaction for the channel and also the last Season 2 "Our Flag Means Death" video with the additional London meetup and billboard segment on the end. I filmed all of that on Monday and have been editing it all together.

Lastly, a few people requested access to the film reactions MP3 versions, which I have now made accessible again. For some reason and I don't know why, but they had reverted to being private. It's all fixed now though!

Thank you everyone, more to come very soon and please don't worry that. Hopefully this all made sense too. It all stemmed from a combination of thoughts over this week and wanted to let you know.
