If you've been following my talk on the sketch brush im using for everything right now, it's the same tool right here. It works well when it's viewed on a much larger canvas, (it looks much smaller!) and the weird fill issues etc just aren't a problem at this size. I do kind of want chunkier outlines, but i always drift back towards thin ink.

There's an artist on bluesky, Caramelshotgun, who drew some fun stuff of a squirrel character with very envious, thick colored traditional media outlines that i'm trying to find my way towards, as it looks fast and really cozy, but so far i can't figure out how to capture that.

I'm sure that's really deep in the weeds boring-artist-talk. I'm sure i'll figure it out eventually!

Either that, or maybe it's time to ditch the smaller sketch canvas all together and just make high res content? Worth considering.
