2022 Goals for the Patreon! What's Coming Up (Patreon)

Hello everyone, and happy 2022!

With this first post of the year, I want to establish my goals with the Patreon. These goals are made under the assumption the support here stays around where it is, and of course may be adjusted if patron support greatly increases or decreases. But enough about that...

What Are You Planning for 2022?

I plan on continuing my current production schedule

• Monday* : Bonus Tale projects (comics or animations).
• Thursdays : Sketch Suggestion Days and Sketch Poll Days.
• Fridays : Main Passiontail Isle comic day.

* there will be breaks between Bonus Tale projects, since they're "Bonus" things, after all~

In addition to this, later in the year I'm hoping to open for Sponsored Commissions, where a client can pay to have an existing sketch of their choice finished, outside of the Sketch Polls.

What Comics, Specifically, Are You Going To Make?

I'm hoping to complete 3 comics.

• Passiontail Isle - Story 02 : [name here] - more about this next...
• Bonus Tale 03 : Digging In
• Bonus Tale 04 : [Undecided]

I never intended for Bonus Tale comics to all be 12 pages in length. They were supposed to be short, no-script comics, like Blind Date, if you remember that one. 

However, All Tied Up had the Aurora scene, and Take A Hike needed that many pages to cover everything that happened. Digging In is also 12 pages. I'd like to break this pattern before it becomes permanent. So expect some Bonus Tales to be a little quicker, 6 pages or something like that. If they're short, i can do more of them, as well! 

Also, i'm going to up the resolution to be on par with the main comics, for printing considerations later.

What Is Story 02 Going To Be?

So, here's the elevator pitch for what WAS going to be a Bonus Tale, but the script was too spicy and it ended up being 22 pages long.

I'll be posting a 6 page, no dialogue thumbnail comic I made as a test, just to see how some of the imagery i want in the comic would look, Shortly. As well as a bonus sketch~ but that's not for this post.

For those of you who aren't super into this-

The next chapter after this, Story 03,  will star Aurora and Blake, and probably Jenny and a friend of hers (charlie is in the script right now, but it could change). It's a partner swap, group story, focused mainly on Aurora. 

And of course, the Bonus Tale comics between now and then will not be vore, either. Though once the main comic ISN'T, the Bonus Tales can be again. Basically, I just don't want the Main Comic and Bonus Comic doing the same topic at the same time, you know?

What are the upcoming Bonus Tales?

Generally I hold a poll to decide what Bonus Tale is next. Here's a bit of a sneak-peek at the possible poll candidates.

Here are some prompts from my Script Idea Pile.

• Mammal f / Sparcant m Colony. One x Many group thing
• Smozumi f / Oozail m - tiny buddies comic. Maybe the couple i've drawn before?
• Loboxin pheromone tricks - poison friends. Maybe toxoth as well, for a fun tagteam thing? The pink exhaled smoke that gets you going instantly.
• The existing Long Distance script
• The existing Pleasure Pouch script.

• - vore related BTs for after Story 02 is finished below
• 
  
• Nimbilisk f / Jonah / Daisy snowball comic. If you remember that old thumbnail comic from a while back. I'd like to retrofit it with the new characters, it was a lot of fun!
• Jonah / Daisy Oral Vore or UB - sightjacking  - She psychically experiences what he does while he's inside, as a way to learn what he sees in a kink she doesn't really get his perspective on.  Currently it's 13 pages, with a script done to events-per-page. I was planning this for BT 04. People do want some UB stuff, though? I'll have to consider changing this to an UB comic, it would mostly work the same.

There are more, but here's just a couple of the fun things I have planned.

- Website

I would like to get an official website for Passiontail Isle together. It's generally a good idea to have some sort of real web-presence if you're a comic project like this, and i would like to make a tool that would let you select two creatures and compare them side by side, down the line. I don't think integrating patreon or allowing comments is a great idea, i'd have to moderate it and all that, but just having a mirror to whatever is currently public, posted, would be nice! Plus it would make everything feel pretty official.

I had the idea in mind to do my research over the break, but all i really did was hang out with my roommates and play some videogames for the first time in a while. Good rest time, which is good for a BREAK, but i do wish i could have gotten some secret work done lol.

- Clarify World Info / Creature Lifecycle / Forms

I need to sit down and hammer out exactly how like, reproduction, creature compatibility, eggs, elements, etc work in the world. It hasn't been important to the stories i've been telling, but people ask about like 'evolutions' a lot and I always have a cagey answer for it. So something concrete will be figured out soon enough. I've got my wip lore written down and have since the project started, but im gonna make it pretty and presentable.

- Clarify Stance on Fan Art of Passiontail Isle

This one's complicated. I'm still waiting back on some info regarding what all I'm allowed to say is fine for fans to do with my IP. I would love to just say 'you're free to do noncommercial fan art of Passiontail Isle. If it's Commercial in any way, then you need my permission on a piece by piece basis' but because of the law, I don't know if i can say that without losing ownership of my creations, thus, I cannot yet say that.

Push comes to shove, I'm going to talk to an IP lawyer about it, but of course that costs a shitload of cash so i'm dragging my feet on it.

- New Creatures

It's been a while since the last Creature Concepts sheet, and you all have asked for some buddies I'd love to design! Plus, I always have some fun ideas in mind that i wanna get out there, available for spicy situations.

- Set Up some On Demand Printing or do a Kickstarter for a print run of Story 01, Start With A Kiss

It's very common for comic creators like me to run a kickstarter to fund a print run / distribution of an existing finished comic. I'm not sure if i could though, because of the explicit nature of my work, or if it's even the best way to go about it, but it's something that's been on my mind! My fullsize comics are set up with print in mind, so it only makes sense to offer people a physical copy. Plus, who wouldn't want to flip open to pages 21 and 22 of Start With A Kiss with company over, lol

- Design / Sell Some Dakimakura / other merch

This one's simple. An easy way to test out making and selling merch of my creatures and characters is to design a daki. Aurora would fill one up pretty nicely, she's long enough~ I don't know if this is a thing people actually buy, but i'd love to have some Passiontail swag in my house, personally. Maybe you guys might, too! Pins, posters, a daki, hell maybe a plush or something down the line. Who knows~ Something to consider.
