Mo Fan's awesome. He's highly introverted as you noticed, he knows and cares nothing at all of the pro scene, "Ye Qiu" etc are just words to him. He plays Glory mainly for the scrap-picking, which has gained him some notorious rep, many players cursing him after they lost equipment to him 😂️ As I recall, his combat style is dubbed the "Fireworks Style" -- he's able to execute a series of nigh-impenetrable combos for a few seconds, which is the max duration he can hold onto his incredible focus, before gaps appear in his assault and he quickly retreats. Oh, and minor correction: they weren't considering recruiting a Mechanic -- Xiao Shiqin is the Mechanic they were discussing. They figure that a Ninja would be the "perfect Counter" for his class, which is why they sought out Mo Fan.

And yeah, it was a bit cruel 😅️ In the LN, Ye Xiu actually told all his Guild Leader pals to have their guilds keep an eye out for Deception (or any of this known alternate accounts) and notify him on any sightings. On receiving coordinates, YX would then show up with his team, and kill Deception. I think he even had the Guilds doing this killing for him at a point. Eventually, Deception could no longer really play. When YX sent him the cafe address, he promptly got on a plane and pulled up at the cafe -- Wei Chen told YX he should be ready for a real-life PK 😂️

Oh, and I forgot to mention -- you're absolutely right, that the challenge from Excellent Era was rubbish. It's all risk, as you said -- it makes no sense for Happy to accept this challenge, when the cost of losing is so high: withdrawal from the League, wasting at least one more year. It cannot be called practice, not even high-pressure practice, since there's little/nothing to be gained here that would not be gained by just waiting till they *actually have to* face Excellent Era, and *then* fighting their hardest. And there is much to lose indeed. It was one thing that I found real silly, even before I ever read the LN. Alas, this challenge is entirely a product of the Live Action. I guess they felt they just couldn't wait till the fated meeting, had to inject even more drama.
