Free Steamboat Willie! (Patreon)

Ok, after almost a week you all maybe know that from January 1st the first cartoon featuring Mickey Mouse, Steamboat Willie is free from copyright. It became of public domain and therefore, if you use it, or redraw it, or put it into your works, Disney lawyers (the most ferocious creatures in the world after t-rex) can’t do anything to you!

of course this thing works only with this cartoon, but it doesn’t mean that you can use Mickey Mouse in its classic appearance. That’s a registered trade mark and it’s not subjected to copyright laws, but you can draw Mickey Mouse as it has been drawn in Steamboat Willie, just like I’ve drawn it today!

for me this is not a big change, since I’ve already drawn a lot of time parodies of Disney characters, as you may know, but I wanted to do a celebrative nsfw drawing with Mickey, Minnie and Pete because now everyone can do it! And by the way this is the first drawing I finished in 2024 and I‘m happy to draw for this occasion a bunch of nsfw Disney characters! I started drawing Disney characters (sfw of course) when I was a kid and then it’s always like a coming back to the origins (sort of), when I draw them.
