I got a pledge towards the personal story tier earlier, and I've got it on good information that the pledger is a fake/fraudulent account.

It figures that I'd probably end up with a troll or two on here, who think that they can pledge to me, I write something, and then when the month is charged I earn nothing for them, but I'm not that daft - I take payments for pledges at the START of the month.  If a person joins after that, their pledge would be counted when the next month is billed. If I'm pledged this month for a personal project, I won't work on said project until I'm actually paid on the next billing date. That way I'm not wasting my time writing something and not getting paid for it when the next billing cycle happens.

In the case of the person who pledged, I've sent them a message to see if they're the genuine article. If they're not and I don't get a response, I will block said account.

So yeah... I know how this works, so please, if you're going to try to troll me here, then don't bother as it won't work - stories will ONLY be done once a payment has been received, so don't even bother wasting either of our time as it's just embarrassing.

Well, that is one way to do that. I know another, which I sent you through Skype.

I have got many fraud pledges last month, so I have written to Patreon about that and this was their reply: If a patron is marked as a fraud, their account becomes suspended and cannot login to access any content from any creator they pledge to. There is no need to block them on your part -- they will not have access to any of your patron-only posts. I ask myself if a patron marked as a fraud is suspended why there are still so many fraud pledges?
