[Update] Long Animation, Announcement (Patreon)

In this short post I will explain the project that I will start towards September, or rather the new long animation I have in mind, and also the changes that will derive from it.

Schedule (September-October)

Let's discuss the upcoming schedule. Starting from September to October, I will be adjusting my schedule to focus on creating 1 animation per month, possibly extending it to every 2 months. The main objective is to create a single animation with a complete storyline and detailed background.

Of course, I will still be accepting commissions, ensuring that shorter animations continue to be released on a monthly basis. This new approach represents an opportunity for me to elevate the quality of my animations, although I may revert to my previous schedule if I don't like it.

I anticipate initiating this new direction by mid-September, allowing me to release the completed animation around the Halloween period.

Long Animation (Spoiler)

I will start by saying that the animation will be set on a beach, at night, featuring non-human creatures. While I cannot provide specific details about the scenery, I can tell you that both the non-human creature and the location bear a striking resemblance to the world of Kingdom Hearts.

Now, it is not my intention, and it never will be, to create fan art or copy from renowned authors/stories. Therefore, my work will not be a fan art of Kingdom Hearts, but it is the closest thing that comes to mind.

With that being said, the character who will participate in the animation as the passive role will be Mary, while the active role will be portrayed by the mythological figure of the aatxe.

Mary is a young girl, descendant of dragons, that will find herself in a desperate situation, I will provide more information about Mary and her role in a separate post. On the other hand, the aatxe are mythological figures from Basque culture that I will portray as demonic creatures in this context. Despite the aatxe having a well-defined form in modern culture, I do not intend to portray them as bulls. Instead, I will depict them as humanoid beings, a demonic race of individuals.

To conclude, the story will revolve around Mary finding herself trapped in a dimension, a kind of dark island, where she encounters these demonic creatures.

Other Info

I don't currently plan to hire voice actors for this animation, but there's always time to change my mind, or they can be added later. But for now, among the production costs, I'm not counting the dubbing.

The precise date in which I will start working on this animation is related to when some fresh air will start, so that I don't have to work in the middle of the sahara desert, but mainly it depends on when the new computer arrives.

In addition to this, to create such an animation it will take me a lot of study, which I have already undertaken anyway, but which will certainly require a large amount of preparation time, between characters, textures, settings, sets and shots.

If there's one thing I've learned from previous long animations, it's that to get things done right, it takes time, a lot of time.
