Spent the last couple nights before bed reading some Detective Comics and my love for Cassandra Cain has grown. I wanted to warm up today with a draw of her kickin' the crap out of some league of shadow goons.

Wanted to work on another sketch after this, but wasn't something I thought was turning out all that well I think... May as well add it in the links below anyway.

Did manage to get another comic page sketched up and ready for inks. I just need to add the word bubbles and it should be finished for posting. Just at the moment, all of me is kinda hurting from the session that I really need to lay down first =v=;;;

This 113% needs to be the cover of a comic book, I mean that. From the spray of white emphasizing how hard Cass just kicked those goons, to her pose that mixes balletic grace with badass fighting skill, everything about this artwork is pure glorious. The flying blades are a nice touch, too. And of course the shading is spectacular, as per usual. As for the sketch, talk about yet another creative bondage scenario! I'm curious how many more gags are underneath that mask (the X-mark of tape is a nice little touch), and Shiori's sweatshirt does a great job of hiding her bindings. Specifically, the viewer's imagination plays a larger role, rather than us just being shown how exactly she's tied up. Show rather than tell, it applies to both writing great stories and creating awesome DiD situations. Get some rest and good luck with your future draws!

Love the stylized take on this, you really made her look awesome with a ton of energy coming out of those kicks.
